Been billing around 250 a month since December. I will hit around 215-220 this month. Today is the first day I’m kind of slow-ish and I wonder if I should ask for work, or I have low anxiety that the partners are wondering why I’m not “on”. I am a clown.

How do you all reconcile your current very high salaries with living a normal lifestyle? For example, my spouse is in big law and I make 25% of that salary (also a lawyer). Presumably, if the spouse leaves big law, there would be a massive drop in salary. We want to buy a forever home. With our current income, the homes we’ve been eyeing are a joke (so cheap) but with 2x MY current income (assuming spouse leaves big law), the house is a stretch. What to do…

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who shares in this group. It truly helps me stay sober. I am approaching 12 months sober but have been struggling lately. While I have not relapsed, I’ve been close. Normally, before I get out of bed, I write down my reason to stat sober for the day, but lately the reasons have been lousy at best. But reading about everyone’s struggles and successes has helped get me through this past month. So thank you all for the inspiration to keep going strong!

Any tips on staying centered and productive in our industry while in program? Do you say you're a "consultant" in your resume? A lot of firms (Deloitte, Protiviti, etc) officially call RA jobs as such, but it feels incredibly lame/misleading to call myself that during a job search when I know we're really just a different kind of auditor...

Do the CISA questions from just the DB appear on the actual exam? If not, do you still learn enough by reading the questions and answers to pass?
