Are there any big negatives if I actively choose not to take on any strategy work exit wise? Don't care about creating some unvalidated ppt deck while working 60-80hrs a week lol

Ok… so kinda random question. I’m a HR professional, middle aged female, dress conservative and play the HR role and fit the “professional image” well at work. I REALLY want to get a full sleeve tattoo.. I’ve put it off because I’m afraid how it will affect my image in my professional world, but also feel life is short! Does anyone have any words of wisdom as to how this may affect professional growth being in HR?

When I applied for this job, I put in a salary expectation of $95k. They warned me that for this level, that was out of their range but I wanted to interview anyway because I was still interested. Interviews went well — they offered my the job AND were able to up it to a senior role so that they could meet my initial expectation. Question is, now that the title changed, do I negotiate for more or is that getting greedy? I’m afraid they would rescind the offer. Please advise!

Started a new role where I can WFH for 2022 but then in Jan 2023 the company want me to move to TN where their office is (this was put into offer letter) even though they’re hybrid. My accounts are all over US. I’m not sure if I will be able to move TN b/c my BF is graduating with his MS in Ocean Engineering, he can’t find a job in TN & got offers for jobs in FL where we currently live. I was thinking of talking to my mgr in Dec about my situation and asking if I can continue to WFH. Thoughts?

How long does it take to get over ptsd from being in a toxic micromanaging environment? I was a top biller and top manager at a large staffing company for five years and was treated like a child. I’ve spent the last five years as a Product Manager working on teams that both work at an exhausting pace. As a result, even though I’ve delivered a lot, I feel like now that I’ve gained the basic competencies, I’m not getting smarter. I spend so little time being intentional about my work. Every day is about solving the problem in front of my face, rather than the one a mile down the road. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it worth trying to find a slower role to refine my craft?

How long does the typical career path after a PhD or MD take to reach a $500k+ total comp if we’re counting years at an MBB firm with an exit to pharma/biotech and promotion time thereafter?
