^similar experience. Glad to hear I’m not the only momma with magnificent boobies. 😊 We forced a Phillips avent bottle (free sample from some registry) daily. After about a week, he would take any bottle. Now we give a bottle daily. P.S. this is also a great way to offload late night feedings onto your partner 😉
Also! Best trick I found was to put a binkie in the mouth to start the sucking reflex and then switch in the bottle
This happened to our 3 month old right before I went back to work. We just kept trying different bottles until one worked. We did find that he would take fresh milk but not frozen so I actually ended up donating most of frozen. He finally took the Mam bottles with the breastfed nipples, but he had to also sit with his back to his dad’s chest so he was facing out. He wouldn’t do it if I was there and he never ate as long from the bottle so we only did 1-2 oz warmed up at a time so as not to waste the fresh milk.
Yep! Had the same experience with a bottle strike from about 2-4 months of age. Try a variety of things... Dad or grandma giving the bottle, fresh vs frozen, different times of day/temperature, etc. It took a little experimenting (and lots of tears) to get my baby to take bottles again. Once that happened, we did it more frequently (at least 1 a day) to make sure it stayed a regular habit.
Yes our first two were no issues but third flat out refused. It was a battle of wills when it got to the point of a bottle or nothing when I stopped pumping around 7 months. Eventually he caved when it was that or nothing.
Try different bottles! Our first started refusing bottles and as aol as we found a different style that he liked, he was right back at it
