You're straight up bringing shame upon your company if you fly Frontier.
A partner once made me fly Frontier one week. Right after taking my seat, I was contemplating the many different ways of murdering him while inflicting the most pain and not being caught.
Ew why?
Fuck that. The inevitable delays are not worth it. Southwest, legacy, or bust.
Are you poor?
P2 is right, one of the reasons frontier is so cheap is they pay less for shit at the airport, lower priority less gates etc. Your a lot more likely to find yourself sitting on the runway for an hour
OP take United, don't do this to yourself.
OP, I get up at 3:45am every week, leave the house at 4:30am, and board a plane at 5:20am for a 6am departure on an indirect route, and get home at 10pm on Thursdays so I can fly a real airline, on which I have top status. You should respect yourself more than to settle for flying on what equates to a cattle car crossed with a prison bus with wings.
Yep. ZS1 has it right. Go ahead and take that direct Frontier flight against all of the advice to the contrary here because it means "more time at home with family," and see if that holds true. By the way, the one time I flew Frontier, it was round trip direct, and BOTH flights were delayed multiple hours. Also, good luck working on the plane if you need to, since the tray tables are about as big as an iPhone 7 Plus.
Frontier is a bad idea. It's not designed to be a business carrier - read: frequency might get you stuck. A lot. YMMV.
Eff that nonsense, your work-life balance thanks you in advance for taking the direct flight.
Not sure flying Frontier will actually mean less time flying or "better balance". If you don't believe all the people here, then give it a try. But she waking as someone who will give up a lot to get home earlier, etc, I would never fly Frontier. Penny wise, pound foolish.
LOL at the idea of a direct flight providing more work-life balance. If anything, flights (if you do them right, and especially if you earn status and receive upgrades regularly), give you a chance to disconnect from everything, or extra nap time (first class + Cabeau neck pillow + Bose QC35 = a lovely time in the air).
I take 4 flights a week and I have great work-life balance.
I like frontier! I am able to sleep in the seats because of my long torso
OP, the desire to spend more time at home is not weird. I just question whether you will find that to be true. Maybe on the outbound because delays will not eat into your home time. My own single experience would have meant getting home several days late ( flight delays leading to cancellation and no availability due to overbooking) - I ended up paying over 1000 for United flight to get home only 6 hours late. Thankfully I knew my way around because the airline was not help whatsoever. They were just shrugging their shoulders like "what did you expect? You get what you pay for". So if you are supremely lucky, you will get that extra home time with no issue. Go ahead and roll the dice.
Run the other way - fast
Frontier is very hit or miss. Also FF points are meh
Only unless you absolutely have zero other options. No WiFi, no snacks, no power outlets, one carryon, no TVs....
It’s more that it’s an uncommon route and frontier is direct and the times work. If I️ fly united etc I’d be leaving way earlier Monday and coming back much later Thursday
Why do y’all find I️t weird that I️ want more time at home with family than up in the air napping?
