When I was hired, I don't recall being informed about my salary being tied to my location. My employment contract also only makes one mention of location, and says "home office" and my state. I was recently told by HR though that if I move, my comp. will be lower. Is this legal? Should I consult a labor lawyer?

In my mind, I don't recall being told this and it's not clear from my employment contract, so I feel like they're breaking our agreement, and it feels unfair.

Thoughts on what to do?

If I have one offer already and I have an HR discussion pending with another company. So, should I tell HR that I have already an offer of xx CTC? Or should I get offer letters from both the companies without much negotiation and then asked for the salary match?

Okay so I’m frustrated and would appreciate any insight to the scenario below.

HR provides an initial offer.
I asked to elaborate on complete benefits package ie conferences, CEU reimbursement (no negotiation yet)
She needs to ask the CEO (not sure why she couldn’t ask the senior HR manager)
I state my salary expectations based on research, experience, education.
She has to talk to the CEO again to find out what is negotiable within the overall package
What’s going on? Ur job is to negotiate?

I’m a transitioning teacher and have been offered a project coordinator position. I have been offered $52k and responsibilities include building project plans, budgets, processing change orders, and invoicing customers. That all sounds fine for an entry level position. But I have now been told I would also be responsible for leading bi-weekly meetings with all Program and Project Managers seems like a lot of responsibility for $52k. ISO honest opinions (even if you think I’m wrong).

Hey all, I got an offer from Infosys UK. They are offering 130K GBP (base) and 20% variable paid out quarterly In addition, I will be getting approx 300 shares as ESOPs Profile : 8 YOE Skill: AI architect/manager Do you think this is as per market? I have tried to negotiate base for another 15% , but they seems to be very rigid, and clarified no further increase is possible Infosys

Originally interviewed for Community Relations Coordinator for set asking salary of $65k. Now owner wants to change title to Branch Manager, increased responsibilities, but primarily still CRC role. Same salary and now will decrease to $50k after one year with an increasing commission rate. The idea behind this is motivation to earn more than set salary. At this point, I need the income and am not planning on staying longer than the year, if that. Is it worth negotiating? Any advice welcome.

A colleague of mine just informed me that she earns more than me. Not a lot. $1000. We both manage optometry practices for a large chain. I've been with company seven years and a manager for four. Hey everyone! Wanted some advice - got an offer from a big ad agency for a Planning Manager role. Base salary is $90K (more than satisfactory, I have 2.5-3 years of total agency exp), but their PTO is severely lacking especially compared to my unlimited PTO benefit at my current job - they offered 10 actual PTO days, which are even prorated since it's mid-year. Assuming their PTO allowance is negotiable, any advice for how to handle the email follow-up to the written offer/how much to ask for?
