Anyone from EY or similar group explain the type of work SPA does and the exit opportunities compared to FDD?

What’s the correct ratio of staff to seniors? I am currently filling out reviews and was astonished that I had 9 to fill out from a recent year-end. Looking back I understand why it felt so overwhelming all the time and why I was constantly on calls or getting pings. What has your experience even and what is a good ratio that balances efficiency with growth? Also - does public vs private client play into it?

Has anyone moved from public accounting to a recruiting role? I’m a senior in consulting and recently thinking of switching careers. Wondering how much of a pay cut I would have to take and if I’d have to start off entry level?

I previously worked at a doctors office as a care manager for 4 years, but outside of my academic work I don’t have experience in research. Had a second baby almost a year ago now and just can’t get back into work mode. I used to be a workaholic and now can’t find any motivation in my current job. Most of it is probably sleep deprivation and feeling like I don’t have any time to myself anymore, plus burnout. Anyone go through this after having kids? How long did it last? I don’t have the option of simply quitting, but contemplating switching to a true 9-5, no-stress job, possibly out of law, while they’re young. But that’s scary.

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor.
