I'm 6 YOE, MBA in the field of IT Implementation/PM with a T2 firm. I'm looking to leave due being overlooked by the firm for upward movement. I'm at 135k, with the possibility for bonuses (~20k) the next review at year end, but am being put in for a TS. A boutique firm is offering 165k, but no chance at clearance and lower (5k max) bonus structure. Would you leave? What would you do?
Has anyone gotten a Scrummaster certification? Surprisingly difficult to find info on the process online. What is involved/required?
Hey team - would appreciate your feedback I'm currently a SC at Guidehouse making ~$100k. Very bored but considered a strong employee and on manager track. I have an offer to join D GPS as an SC with 20-30% more pay. The work would be similar. If I stay at Guidehouse I would likely apply for an MBA in Fall 2021. But if I join D, that would delay an year and I would apply in Fall 2022. What would you recommend from MBA and career sense? At this point, I'd be applying for an MBA at age 31/32.
Anyone take courses/get a degree from Harvard Extension School? Experience? Was it worth it? Are you also able to build a network? Realize it’s not like an MBA, but that doesn’t fit my life now .

CPA FAR Exam first week of January. At the moment, I’m not confident at all (NINJA trending score 60%). When is the latest someone should schedule a CPA exam in January? I’m currently wrapping up a 9/30 YE, but unsure of when the 12/31 YE busy season really picks up in January.
Looking to break into big tech (FAANG, etc.) from GPS consulting. Is there anything I can do while in GPS to make myself a good candidate or is the solution just go to commercial and/or get an MBA?
I have taken two sections of the CPA exam through California. Due to the 9 month window, I only applied for two sections initially. I just mailed my $50 reapp payment to the CBA. How long does it take to get re-approved so that I can schedule the last two sections ASAP? Thanks!
Generally what percentage of MBA candidates with a 1R interview end up getting offers at MBB?
- Finished MBA end of 2018 - Upon graduation, MBA hire to tier 2/3 firm (basically tech consulting), laid off June 2020 - October 2020- started as PM/scrum master with mid-tier AWS consulting partner Question- I've always wanted to go to a top tier consulting firm for the experience/brand for PM/Program management. Would you be willing to take a paycut to make it happen? It seems in current climate candidates have all the leverage, but being told I don't have the experience for manager level
Mba hires, are you jealous of your ug hire coworkers? I mean they’re doing it younger and have the flexibility to not pay for the mba

I refuse to get my CISSP. I don't believe it's a valid certification to show competency in cyber security.

Can someone share perspective on ZS Associates? I don’t really see much on here about it. What is progression like? Type of work, clients (I know it’s heavy pharma). Exit options? MBA placement?
Google contacted me via LI about a strategy and operations role. I saw on LI that of my 30 business school friends who work at Google, 0 are in S&O. Why do you think this is the case? It could be random chance, but is S&O low paid, or otherwise unattractive for MBA grads for a different reason? 🤔
Outside of consulting and an MBA, where do you think is the best way/place to learn or gain strategy experience?

Am I the only teacher who doesn’t have family or friends willing to help with their classroom? I’ve moved rooms every year for the last 5 years and I have a large family and lot of friends, but no one is ever willing to help. I told my mom today that it really hurts my feelings, as she declined my request to help as she simultaneously asked ME to help do something for my sister’s house. I explained I’m always there when people need me, but I feel let down when I’m in need. Anyone else?
Hi Ladies! I’m transitioning to a manager of a team I’ve been leading. There’s been a lot of turnover with the team and I feel like I’m having a hard time getting the team to see me more as an authoritative figure. For example, when I ask for volunteers on a simple task, no one replies. Should I just resort to assigning rather than asking? Also are there leadership books you suggest that I could read up on? Thank you!

Background: did my MD outside Canada, practised as family physician 5+ years , then wanted to shift to a corporate role so worked with a pharmaceutical company. Now after studying health informatics in Canada, I seem lost amongst the crowd. Anybody willing to provide advice and professional guidance, that's mighty helpful and welcome too!
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
