It's been over 5 weeks since my final interview with Deloitte for M role. I've had a few email exchanges with the recruiter with a standard response that 'partners are reviewing their resource requirements and we will update you ASAP'. The recruiter always adds it was a positive interview.
I don't understand why it is taking so long to arrive at a decision? Is it normal at Deloitte UK?

CAs from consulting offered 48k + 4k travel, bonus varies massively (few up to 40% most around 10%).
I was offered £40k base + £4k travel allowance + £6-10k bonus for CA role 3 months ago, moving from industry with 3 YOE in a specific area but no consulting experience. You might be able to argue for slightly more depending on experience and with a second offer but from what I can understand that's the minimum
Yep, I think bonuses are paid yearly in March. It used to be heavily based on utilisation, but very recently there has been a shift to decrease the weighting, although I would still think it’s an important factor. Our bonuses are a lot bigger than industry standard, I would go as far as saying the typical bonus for a CA should be 8k - 15k even. Although it’s not very publicised even internally, I have heard it can be anywhere between 10% to 40% of your base salary dependent on a) your performance and b) company performance.
Hope that helps.
How does the travel allowance come through? Do they send you the whole amount or is it an amount thats claimable depending on your expense?
It’s just evenly spread over a year. No questions asked
Band is 40-50k with an additional 4K travel.
Whether you’re at the lower or top end of the band depends on your negotiation skills. Typically they will offer at 40k but ask for 50
