I’m an analyst & have been working towards associate – I was recently offered an associate role on a different team, but simultaneously am feeling burned out and thinking of leaving the firm within the next 6-8 months to work at a smaller company. I want to accept the associate role for my own professional development and growth. Tips on leaving a role after 6 months without burning bridges? Is that possible? I feel somewhat guilty about leaving my team, but know I have to prioritize my career

I recently found out that I was being paid less than everyone in the team (more than 25% gap to more expe teammates, around 15% less than new hires)
We all had the same responsibilities, I consider I even had a heavier workload (talking in past tense since I very recently made an internal move).
Things to consider:

Non-male
What would you recommend doing?
Keeping it to myself?
Speaking up? How? With who?

I just saw a Sr Mgr Marketo role posted - they want 6yr+ exp. Role has direct reports so 3yr+ mentoring/leadership exp. They want certifications in Marketo, nice to have SFDC cert. It’s remote. Salary starts at $90k. Are they kidding??! Or am I just expecting way too much for certifications, and managing others in todays world? haha

Finishing up my first year of big law, thinking of starting my own practice while I work at my current position. Thinking that in a few months, I’ll concretely work solely for my own practice full-time. How difficult is it to gain clients (mainly PI and civil lit)? My mentor also offered me to be an off counsel while I’m working at my current job so that I can refer cases for a cut, would there be an ethical issue? FYI my firm does unrelated law to PI and doesn’t forbid doing extra work.

Hi! I was offered a full-time Social Media Manager role recently but the job scope seems to be exhaustive! I’m not sure if this is usual so it’d be amazing if you could chime in. I’m expected to be in charge of not only social media management but also email marketing (weekly newsletters), content production & creation, graphic designing, community management, customer service emails as well as blog writing and executing marketing campaigns. Is it true that product based companies have better work life balance than service based. I recently joined a big IT firm after my MBA in process improvement (quality). After two months of working 12-13 hours a day i realize this is not going to work for me. Looking for something less hectic (like 10hrs a day max). Is it only possible in product based companies?

Today I have received one more offer from a bank for same role and they are giving 5 Lac above CTC.
