I got one when I was 18. From what I remember, the pain was only bad for the first two days when the gauze is stuffed up your nose. The black eyes and most swelling was gone after 1-2 weeks, mine wasn’t bad and I attribute that to really following all the pre-op recommendations (arnica, bromeline, etc). It is the best decision I have ever made. Everyone sees your face first (minus current mask situation) so it increased my confidence so much. I had a bump and it kind of turned down at the end. They removed the bump and removed tissue at the tip.
My experience was similar to this. It is not so bad as you might imagine and it’s definitely one of the best decisions I have made.
I just scheduled mine after I finished taking care of my friend who got his done 2 weeks ago! I was worried about the recovery at first but he’s pretty much completely back to normal already and he didn’t seem too bad even the few days I was w him immediately after surgery. The cast definitely isn’t cute and he was bleeding a fair bit but he said it was mostly just annoying because he had to keep cleaning it.

I got one at 19. It was only uncomfortable the first night as I could not breathe through my nose; I don’t remember it being painful! Fully recovered after 1-2 weeks. Very worth it would recommend to all who want it
