I wouldn’t. There’s a stigma that’s likely to stick, right or wrong. I speak from some related but somewhat different experience. I suffer from Bipolar disorder which does affect my performance at times (both good and bad). It’s well managed with medication but I do have a breakthrough episode every so often that can impact my performance. I’ve been advised by my psychiatrist not to inform my employer unless absolutely necessary (ie I am hospitalized or unable to work for an extended period, but only then to refer to a medical issue and not get specific). Granted I think ADHD likely carries somewhat less stigma, but I think could create some negative subconscious bias where it’s likely unwarranted.
Yes and no. I keep it to myself and unless I have a very compelling reason to disclose, I will not do so.
