Remote workers— what’s your daily schedule like, how much are you at your desk all the time?

This law job is my first 9-5 ever, and it’s been disorienting trying to figure out boundaries and a schedule when there’s no one around to compare to? Sometimes I feel bad about taking a lunch or not being near my computer, even when the workload is light, which is wild. Frankly, I just don’t know how to take advantage of the flexibility of remote work because I’m so preoccupied with being available.

Accenture - PTO NOT Paid Out 35 Days After Leaving!

I had 120 hours of PTO worth ~$4K USD that was NOT paid out to me after leaving.

What should I do? Consult a lawyer?

Currently a degree apprentice @ an engineering consultancy firm. Quickly learning I’ve more interest in the consulting and analytics etc than the engineering (doing v little eng in my current role). Really want to get my head down and smash out some hours . The likes of BCG, Deloitte & McK seem to be appealing to me. Is a prestigious firm like that really attainable. I’ll have a decent degree from an average Uni - I’ll have 5 YOE and seem to be ‘excelling in my current role with feedback etc’

If this remote work is the foreseeable future for consulting, how many of you plan to stay? I feel without the travel, more work, and the lack of WLB boundaries consulting has lost its allure.
