I've heard people swear by their AWS certification, saying it's opened a ton of doors for them. Others say they're useless.

If my employer doesn't use AWS, would a certification be useful for landing a job that uses AWS?

Is it ok to move from qa (manual) 5 yrs experience to sdet after learning and creating practice projects.since companies do not have automation work to do hands on? I afraid about the consequences if i switch after learning without real time experice,will i able to do real time work as per 5 yr experience.please suggest.

Looking to transition from an electrical engineer (wide range of experience in low and medium voltage systems) to FPGA or embedded system engineer. While I really do enjoy the design aspect of power systems, I've always leaned more towards the software side of EE and I like working closely with hardware. I have experience through college and personal projects, but I'm not sure how going from multiple years of power system design to a more hardware/low level design will pan out.

One of the hardest things to do in business and in sales is to have someone love what you do so much that they'll put their name on the line and refer you business.

That's a relationship you have to nurture.

And I bet that most of you have more than a handful of happy customers who would refer you business. The easiest way to get more leads and pipeline is to ask for referrals.

Can a company change your sales territory (increased sales area by about 30%+) without compensating you? Our company is modifying territories and most people are getting about a 5-10% increase, but mine will be over 30%. The company has eliminated some territories during this time so we are covering those. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
