This is likely a trauma response due to something in your past, probably childhood. It may even be something not memorable. I’d recommend therapy. Despite what a lot of people on this app say you should not be getting flight fight or freeze responses from work.

Yeah definitely. As others gave said, step away from your desk and fully disconnect for 30 minutes or so.
Walk away from the laptop, drink some water, eat a meal, when you come back, make a to-do list. Rank it by priority and cut your big tasks into smaller ones, and then start crossing off the list. It’s easy to get overwhelmed in this line of work, but you need to be able to push through. Maybe start preparing before the day begins and do a recap after the day ends to prep for the next day?
