Hi Amazonians,
I am looking for guidance.
I am going to start interview process with Amazon next week. Probably all rounds will be done in 1-2 day time frame.
How/what should I prepare for interview?
Am clueless on what kind of ds & algo questions, system design questions are asked in Amazon interviews.
My techstack: javascript developer- react+Angular.
1. Pls guide me on what/how to prepare?
2. Also, will the interview be solely on da & algo and javascript; or on Js frameworks?

I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

Hvwnt found much success on LinkedIn, honestly been having better luck with indeed
I have seen more activity on Indeed. I haven’t had a lot of luck on LinkedIn
I have had premium membership on and off for several years, with no hits on my optimized “private sector” -styled profile (I paid to have one created). On Indeed, I have my “government-style” resume, which is much longer, in chronological order, and definitely not the word salad we’re told to create for the public sector ATS industry. Yet all my recruiting requests have come from Indeed. Go figure.

I get tons through LinkedIn and I don’t have premium! It’s about optimising your profile.
Head of ds1 - can you dm me as well. I just join this bowl today.
Success on LinkedIn is all about your profile, my clients regularly receive calls from recruiters at all levels based on them appearing in the right searches

Planning another LinkedIn webinar next Thursday at 7pm Eastern. Will post a link shortly
Why is it taboo for your current company to know you’re open to new opportunities. Doesn’t necessarily mean you are actively looking, just if the right position comes along then you’re out. Employers will treat us better if they know that we are always looking
Agreed. I do side-hustles and I'm always open to off-hours contract work. Saying your open doesn't necessarily mean you're looking to leave. Besides, saying you're not open to a better opportunity would be a lie, right?
Ziprecruiter and monster have landed me so many interviews and offers. I was naming my own price at some point
Interesting!
Nope. I have the premium membership- and I do not have the badge for open to work, because my current employer is a connection on LI. But I have opted to be seen by recruiters for jobs. I have not had a single recruiter reach out to me for a job. And I’ve had 3 recruiters reach out to me via Indeed.
I also downloaded Hirect and tried to apply there. G now, I think it could be a hoax , because no one even replies to you! I’ve had some Interviews through the Mom Project as well.
BUT NOTHING THROUGH LINKED IN.
Recruiters at your company can still see you.
I find my applications are getting viewed immediately. But—in the one whopping week I’ve been actively job seeking, I’ve been turned down every time. It’s only been a week but still. What gives?
That’s how I see it! I’ve gotten a couple of nibbles this week from recruiters, so we’ll see! I’ve envisioned a 3-6 month timeline to find what I’m looking for 🔥
I’ve had a bit of luck by reaching out to them. Apply to the job, search in the company or check to see if the recruiter is listed and reach out.
I’ll add to this, no interviews yet—but cold calling and emailing/reaching out to strangers has been a game changer! Talks are being had, wheelhouse is turning!
I had it turned on for a few months while I was looking. All recruiters who contacted me said they found me via LinkedIn. It’s hard to tell if it were that or the “Open to” status change.
Just wondering about this, excellent question!! Thanks for asking
Agreed, me too
Recruiters won't reach out to you more or less becuase of your LinkedIn subscription level. However, premium does allow you to be much more proactive with your job search, most importantly building the relationships at your target companies which will be critical for your success in your job search. If I can be of further help in how to best leverage LinkedIn to build more relationships, land more interviews, receive more offers, and earn more money, reach out to me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alanjstein/
I just sent you a connection request
I think it depends on the field and career level. I've never used an external recruiter (email, LI or otherwise) and have relied on LinkedIn to directly apply to companies. Conservatively, I've had about a 65-70% response rate, with maybe 5% converting to first-round interviews.
A little bit, but just recruiters from consultancy company.
Same here
Yes, I receive them weekly. I’ve noticed much more with premium than with non.
I have activated it last autumn and had literally 3 reach and all of the connections for the CV hunt, I'm afraid.
Nothing with LinkedIn. I do not have premium. But more successful with Indeed
I just started using Zip Recruiter and am getting tons of opportunities with them. There are so many not found on LinkedIn or Indeed. If they send you jobs that don't apply to your career and then ask if they're sending the right ones, you can say no. Once I did that I guess someone actually looked at my resume and now almost all the job opportunities they email me are on point.

Not really.
This is how I landed my new job, applied on LinkedIn and reached out to the recruiter right after. She booked my interview that day!
Consider using tal&dev (talanddev.com).. is so much more private.
None sees your resume if you don’t want to.
Your profile can get matched (effortlessly) to new career opportunities but you are in full control as far as who you decide to share your private data with.
So, with tal&dev, no risk of showing open to work badges and no hassle with recruiters accessing your mailbox.
