@OP listen to ACD1 . I did masters to put myself out of my comfort zone and understand what is it that I like doing. Ended up in the industry after some struggle.
Could I have reached the same place without masters? Maybe.
Use process of elimination, talk to folks, make lists whatever it is. Perhaps, masters might be a solution. Just if you do, go all in.
Half my masters class didn't end up in advertising. One guy is in academia, a couple of the women are in animation and prop design. Some of the suits became creatives and vice versa. Not many people know what they want to do at 22, I don't think a masters pigeonholes you in one direction, though it certainly helps you progress with one if it's what you wanna do.
I second all of the above. I figured out a few years ago I am not all that creative and preferred the research/reporting side. I took a 6 month bootcamp through a reputable university that cost 15k . Much less expensive, stressful and time consuming and doubled my salary to go into analytics. I would always recommend trying that first…. If there are no reputable programs for what you want to do/job requires masters then fine, but it always seemed like such a large investment for such minimal reward to me….
