Can’t hurt. I got tested when I felt a little nauseous the other day but had no other symptoms. It’s pretty quick

Uh yeah mine was a little uncomfortable but not terrible...and my swab definitely did not come out bloody...sounds like you had a VERY aggressive tech

I did in NY, it's free for residents. Results came back much later than they said they would. Took the test as a precaution before I traveled though.

But my state is pretty open (gyms) so not sure what the guidance is. CDC only really talks about symptomatic ppl.

My brother got tested recently, no symptoms, came back negative. I’m not sure why he felt the need to get tested. I have no plans to get tested without any symptoms, except that I will be giving blood again this month and have heard they are now testing donated blood for antibodies, so I suppose I’ll be getting those results. I do test myself daily with a blood oximeter and thermometer (takes about 30 seconds) to catch any early warning signs—I think that’s enough, personally.

Yeah I think my hang up is that I traveled to see friends and I want to go to the gym. Think I’ll isolate for a week and get tested to be safe.

If you’ve come back from recently traveling via air, def get tested. I did yesterday

I did in Chicago. Long wait but in my opinion worth it to know I was negative

Despite being fully vaxxed and not immunocompromised, my spouse is terrified and paralyzed by COVID. She won’t leave the house and we regularly fight about her March 2020 style lockdowns on our family (bleaching mail and groceries etc). I’m concerned because she’s been getting dark hints from work that it’s going to affect her career (she works in sales). Her take is “If they fire me because I won’t see customers, my safety is more important.” Really at my wits end and don’t know what to do.

Serious question….with all of the pressure on the tech sector, companies freezing hiring, stocks down, companies cutting costs, how are things over in salesforce services? There is a lot of momentum overall for the services side of here economy (relative basis) in the US but a services division of a tech product company may be another matter. I hear salesforce is already slashing spending, cutting travel, etc. would value any views especially from the inside.

Unique situation where I'm seconding with a C level exec and running their team. Boss is expecting answers without sufficient time for the team to do all the analysis and the team is lacking the motivation and refusing to get to an answer in the tight timeline. This would be easier to handle in a consulting environment as I would have never signed up to the scope or pushed back on time lines. But first experience with an industry team. I’ve been seeing so many threads where people get “offended” by something someone said because it doesn’t align with their beliefs/views which then gets pointed out and turns into a “you can’t say xyz, because you will offend this and that”. If you get offended over anything and everything then get off social media, or better off just stick to work emails, those are always fake and politically correct.
