Anyone had background check with first advantage? I got a job in US but work in canada. I told this new employer that I am mostly US based. Should I give my SSN (was issued 3 months ago) vs Canadian SIN which I have for 7 years

Fishes, does anyone have insight to salary info for CVS Health in a Senior Manager Data Engineering position? The job description says anywhere from $95k-$209k which is a pretty big range. What is a closer range? Recruiter is starting out with $120k which sounds too low to me.

Hi. I have been doing corporate transactional law and I am exploring family law as a new focus. I am looking at the Rutter Group California Practice Guide for Family Law as a guide. Any other suggested materials that are better?

Hey fishes, I’m 21M here. Class of 2020, 3.2 GPA from a top 20 target school for undergrad.

I am 8 months into my first consulting job. What is the timeline for someone like myself? I managed to get some 2020 GMAT prep books but apart from that, I’m not really sure what the direction is. Do I just prep, practice, and take the test? I would like to apply for schools by 2024-2025. Thanks!

Anyone home grown in IFS feel extremely unmotivated after getting promoted, not being able to negotiate your salary? Esp. when someone from CS moves up and over at a higher salary with less experience

I have a very unique name and I’m a WOC, I’ve noticed someone is posting negative comments as me (they used my name) on a popular advertising site about my previous agency. I have no clue who’s doing-

How much do recruiters make? I know they get a bad rap with the tone deaf emails—but I imagine it can be lucrative…

Has anyone recently interviewed with Verily? Any guidance on what to expect in an interview for a TPM role ?

Hi Guys,

Please help.

Left MBB 2 years post Mba to pursue equivalent pay and amazing wlb in a “big old tech” strategy team (think IBM, Dell, HP). I thought boring work would be fine in the context but after 1 year it’s getting to me. How would you think about exit timing to avoid “leaving too fast” but also avoiding becoming branded as an old tech guy? Does the old tech experience look bad for FAANG-like prospects?

I'm applying for a role (only one I've applied to) and so far have succeeded in several rounds. I am interested but not actually sure I will take it. Is this inconsiderate given amount of investment they are making and I might say no in the end?

For data science exits does it go something like this? Any industry players I'm missing? Have been in process with all and currently in process with all but one and trying to prioritize.

VC (supporting investing with tech expertise) > hedge funds > FAANG/high growth startups >> lower tier unicorns >>> MBB

I have a couple of offers - one that will let me exit consulting and join a telco company (my current client) and the other with another consulting firm. Role and TC are pretty much the same. What factors should I consider before signing? Is transition to industry really worth it?

2 offers.
1. Manager at Wayfair in Boston $110k base + $10k signing + 10% bonus +$7k relo + $100k equity over 4 years

2. Senior Manager at Start up fully remote, $120k base + 10% bonus + 10,000 stock options + full Heath, +$1k yearly to travel.

Has anyone interviewed with Everest group? How's their consulting practice? Not very keen but might go through the process anyway

I love the idea of working in venture capital or start-ups, but cannot stand the people. I find the culture extremely performative, and the people incredibly self-important.

Anyone else in the same boat?

What does it mean when a recruiter says the midpoint of the base salary is $100k? I believe they may have an upper limit, and if yes, what do u think it is? How much flexibility they may have? This is a tech company - non FAANG. Starting to look for new job.. in my late 20s. Thanks.

The hiring manager for the role I’m interviewing for was fired right after my final round. Recruiter emailed to tell me decisions would be pushed off another week because they need to fill the role before proceeding. What do you make of this?

Would you choose program manager or product marketing manager roles in tech?

I know Bain has a local staffing model- are there opportunities to travel if you want to?
