Anyone has experience with mortgage/refinancing from ‘Owning’? Zero closing and great rates sound super lucrative but would like to hear some experiences. Thanks!

It depends on the economic environment if you have the capital to cover the debt in a recessionary environment I would stay super leveraged because debt holders lose big in the face of inflation. If you don’t have the capital you can go down with the debt holders by being over leveraged and the debt holders end up winning (your assets back)

1. I’m saying the bank does not do well, specifically on any fixed rate mortgages on its books because their value diminishes and interest rates increase to hedge against inflation and because of the lack of money supply

2. Yes

Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?

I started a job with a restaurant as part time they hired me at a higher wage but after working for one week the other manager came to me telling me that they can’t afford what the other manager and I agreed on so now i have to work at less or I could look for another work options, she meant I should leave otherwise. What should I do?

I have a very chatty group of students this year! Although we’ve only been in school for two days, I can tell it’s going to be a challenge to keep them focused. Does any one have any WG strategies?

This may not be true for everybody but a break from the kids with adult conversation plus a chance to get caught up on some work makes me smile.

I'm a Senior SE I. My team is hiring for a Staff SE, which is 2 levels above me. I want to apply but my boss' boss said I'd have to be a Senior II first. I told my manager it'd take the new hire at least 6 months to learn about the system, which I'd help them with that, so I'd work at the Staff level without being paid for it. My boss said he'd bring it up with his boss.

I just got an off cycle raise this month, and I don't want to sound greedy. How'd I counter if I was declined again?

Looking at exits into pharma and biotech. Have an opp at a biotech at the SM level. Total comp excluding equity is around $190k; RSUs vest over 4 years with annual refreshers, so first year equity would be around $6,200 and it would go up by $6,200 each of the next 3 years, plus whatever base bump I get. Very good benefits package.

They envision 2-3 years before I jump either to AD or right to D. Solid opp? Or hold out to go straight to director level?

Am a phlebotomist and was only offered 2.5k at parkway Pantai when my previous company offered 3k. What's more is during the interview I had already informed that I wasn't looking for a raise beyond 3k and that I would appreciate them just paying my last drawn. Still no word from them.
