When you travel use disinfectant wipes on airplane, hotel and office (seat, door handles, night stands, desks etc. Wipe everything down that you touch and you will eliminate 80% of the germs.
Get sick the weekend before. Can’t get sick if you are already sick 😏
Eat healthy, work out regularly, get 7-8 hours of sleep a night, and drink 5 liters of water a day
I just work from my hotel room and let my project manager and my client knows!
Don’t travel. Stay at home.
I gave some of my own recommendations, but I also wonder if it's just best to just expose your immune system to some of these things? Spent years traveling between a few states with various modes of public transportation and rarely got sick. Then I spent a couple years WFH half the time. When I started back up with travel I got sick like 3 times in the first year. So far so good this year but the season is young...
That makes sense. I guess my thought was that if you're naturally exposing yourself to the viruses in smaller doses (minimal exposure in a standard cleaned and previously vacated hotel room versus a door knob at work someone just sneezed on) that your body may be better prepared to fight the full blown thing. Definitely not recommending that someone go cuddle up with that TV remote or anything lol
Just did some research and I have a feeling this misconception might be stemming from hygiene hypothesis. Or even just the classic let the kids eat dirt.
Stay at home
Airborne, more veggie and fruit, water, exercise
Define sick
Is it cold ( flu ish) feeling or just tiredness of waking up super early on Monday and flying out ?
Things which help are
Working out regularly
Getting enough sleep
Limiting alcohol intake on weekends
Increasing vitamin C helps boost immunity
Eat healthy, stay hydrated, get sleep, keep your hands clean, try not to touch your face. Unabashedly distance yourself from questionably maybe sick people.
Wash your hands all the damn time. Do not use hand sanitizer (it doesn’t really work and is awful for your skin). Keep your hands away from your nose, mouth, eyes, & hair (if your hair is long and you don’t put it up every day). Travel with a pillow protector that you put over the hotel pillow and keep your hotel room warm enough that you can sleep with just the sheet over you (hotel duvets are unspeakable). Wipe down the tv remote and phone in your hotel room with disinfectant wipes. Stay hydrated, eat healthy, don’t drink booze, exercise, and get decent sleep.
No they don’t change them or wash them often.. that’s why you’re not supposed to lay on top of your bed in hotels. Often times people put their luggage that they rolled through the airport restrooms on top of the bed or have sexy time on top of the duvets.. and “things” are left behind 😐🤢
I always always drink an emergen-C right before the flight. Works like a charm.
Get your flu shot! Got the flu on the client site earlier this year..... not fun
Same here! (But I got my shot.) Luck of the draw...I still believe in them.
