You got this! I loved the walking intervals because it helped me not hate running when I was out of shape.
Start off low impact and low weight. People out of shape who go into high impact running and weights can really mess up their bodies permanently
I can give you a plan but you'll need to be willing to lift as well. Too many underestimate the power of lifting to help achieve cardio goals. Also, you want lean muscle so your resting metabolic rate increases and keeps you from simply taking a break and losing alot of progress.
I completely agree with you. Cardio is a one time calorie burn, but keeping your diet consistent and healthy combined with building some muscle is the best way to lose fat in my opinion.
Not really a plan but I would highly suggest making a really good workout playlist. It can give you energy and motivation when you really don’t want to workout
