Hi everyone! I’m a young professional right out of college getting into investing and personal finance management. Trying to better understand and educate myself on personal finance and investment strategies. Can someone recommend some recourses (books, podcasts, experts to follow, etc.) where it’s clearly explained for beginners? Trying to make sense of 401Ks, Roth IRAs, emergency funds etc.
Like I’m looking for someone like Dave Ramsey but for investment and money management advice.

my cousin was laid off last year. He was making about 80K+comm - sales role. He finally got two offers (each at 40K+comm). He said it was too low and declined both. The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago. Co-Working Space Agreements - team is thinking about using some co-working space in a new market (similar to we work and Regus). Got the agreement today and it isn’t really a license, more like completely one sided terms and conditions not in our favor. No indemnification, insurance, etc. no guaranty of security or that no one else can access our private office (We aren’t looking for just a desk, but a private office suite). Has anyone had luck negotiating the terms of these agreements?

What would you say to an agency, if they told you the job was yours if you got within budget, that it wasn’t a competitive bid scenario, then worked with you for two weeks and several meetings, to firm up a detailed proposal, assuming an award and sow and kick off... only to reveal there was a lower bidder. At the very least, it means I’ll never work with them. But I’m not sure what to say, really. It’s like they managed to find something worse than ghosting. They lied and took us for a ride.

I’m trying to help a theatre friend, transition into an ad agency production department. I’m an AD myself (so no production expert) but his experience and skills seem highly transferable. He’s a costume designer by trade, with over 10 years experience.
