Anyone have a manager that has a grudge against you? My manager missed something a few months ago which led to him explaining something wrong in a meeting with our other boss. I corrected him/gave him the answer (unthinkingly I'll admit) after our boss left, and since then he's had the worst attitude with me and only me. It's making work so awkward. What's the best way to solve this?

I feel like as soon as you involve HR things get worse, not better. I'd try to work out it out like adults first without a babysitter from HR. I would reserve calls to HR for more serious matters.

Don’t contact HR. Get a lawyer and collect your proof and receipts. HR is there to protect their company and their reputation! Contact the labor board. This is considered workplace discrimination!

If I was in this situation and had a decent relationship with him, I’d just tell him that what I said wasn’t personal and hope to clear the air. It’s not an apology, just clarifying misconception. If I didn’t have a good relationship with him to begin with, however, I’d be looking for another job.

I would go to HR. I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling this way. That is such a hard thing to deal with as I have been there.

How does your department/company decide who gets what holidays off? Do you draw for it or decide it based on whose been there the longest? I'd love to suggest a fairer way to decide to my director, but need ideas. Thank you

Hello,

I am currently a Health Admin Fellow at a leading healthcare system. I am in a phase during my fellowship where I will have to start searching for a role within the system in the next 3 months.

I was wondering what kind of role would be best step forward for an admin fellow.

I was offered a project coordinator role but feel I should not accept the same without looking at other options. I aim to seek out a project manager role and was wondering if this would be the wrong step forward.

Looking for advice and recommendations on starting a non-profit healthcare case management company in my area. The focus population served would be low-income seniors with the primary customers being primary care offices that could obtain contracted case management services based on the practice’s needs/financial constraints.

I have my MSW & nearing completion of my MBA. I have 11 years experience, 6 in healthcare inpatient&outpatient.

What recommendations do you have on starting this process?
