Feels like a poser move somehow, though I cannot say exactly why I feel this to be so. I just feel like Pelican cases should be full of cameras or guns, not clothes.
But what if I want to throw my suitcase in a river?
We have a large one that we use to pack camping equipment, etc., on our hunting/camping/photography trips to Canada. They are indeed indestructible- we’ve had the large one so stuffed that it weighed in at 100#
Oh man, my husband has maybe 5-6 (some huge, some smaller), he's sponsored by Pelican. They're so heavy, and indestructible. And they're waterproof, don't let water in or out. He uses them mostly for camera gear and scuba diving gear. They recently came out with pelican 'air' line that is much less weight. You can get custom foam inserts inside as well.
The suitcases aren't much heavier than my Tumi and should be easily more indestructible than rimowa.
My one concern is that id likely have to drill a hole in the top of it to add a laptop bag strap. I can pretty much get my head around this though. It also might be a fun little project.
I'm talking myself into this.
Weight with foam 15lbs
The ba22 is 10lbs without foam. Tumi alpha 2 international is 9 so not a huge difference.

Wants everybody to know who the key grip is
👆🏽 agree with @Principal 1 - stick to tumi, leave Pelican for the photographers, grips, cameramen.
I have a bunch of their cases for guns and gear, however youre traveling to the client site not Afghanistan... Stick with the Tumi.
Poser or not I'll probably do it anyhow. You will all know who I am when you see me in the airport...
Plus the colored rim is great for when I have to planeside check (every week).
Why is the handle so big
Because I have big manly hand like tennis rackets
