No worries - copy that link to a browser on your computer, open it, click “File”, and then you should be able to download it to Excel (.xls).
This one looks great, I haven’t personally tried it yet though:

Thank you!
I used to track expense categories but stopped, it was too much work.
Instead once a month I just record my monthly income and the balances from my accounts. So, Net Change in Cash + Whatever I Put In Retirement = amount saved over the month.

Overly complicated, but you can make this as hard or as easy as you’d like on yourself.
We have a line item for:
1. Post 401K, HSA, and tax income
2. A couple lines for disaggregated expense
3. Net income
4. % of line 3 over line 4
A breakout of account $ amounts
1. Checking
2. Savings
1. 401ks
2. 403bs
3. Roth IRAs
4. HSA
5. Taxable brokerage
There’s plenty of online modeling tools that take 30 seconds to use & input data into. No reason to have your own or breakout your own.
Boom. Done.
My credit union's app has most of what I need to see and it also lets me add external accounts to show all in one place with net worth graphs. You can also hide items if you are focusing on a specific area and want it more front and center in the graphs.
I thought of a corporation balance sheet and scaled it for my use.
Assets at the top: checking + savings + retirement accounts + home market value etc
Minus liabilities: all outstanding debt
= net worth
I made a workbook with the "balance sheet" as the first page and any accounts with activity as subsequent tabs that link to the balance sheet.
I'd share mine but it is so specific to my financial situation it wouldn't be useful to you
OP Keep it simple. Make as many payments using credit cards. Even for recurring bills like phone, internet etc. You get free year end categorization. If you cannot wait that long, then download apps like Mint they do that for free and also help track your finances. Good luck
Thanks, everyone!
