I can second this comment. I bought the Alex table top with just regular table legs a few years ago. I switched the legs out for their shelves about a year ago. I’m absolutely love it, it’s a really big table. I keep three monitors, one laptop, a desk printer and a lot of books on my desk and I still have space.

I have a parsons desk from West Elm but if you Google parsons desk you can find cheaper options. Easy to assemble - just screw in legs

I use a melltorp ikea dining table. Deeper than the cheap desk I had, so no wrist pain from it being too shallow to put my arm on desk. I love it!
