anyone have a SO who went to business school while you stayed in consulting? or vice versa? my bf is applying this fall and I’m irrationally worried about how it will affect us

If I get an offer of around 90-100k but am still interviewing at other firms and the recruiter asks me how much the offer needs to be to immediately accept, how much more should I say?

I tell myself that I've come to terms with my husband not being very thoughtful or helpful around the house. But I was sick last weekend and he didn't even unload the dishwasher or put away the laundry I'd already done, and when I asked him to help me by getting me drinks and stuff, he would tell me 'in a minute' because he was on his phone, and then he'd get to it eventually or forget. It's like, can you pretend to care just a little?

Serious question - after another night in Chicago of multiple shootings and murders, why don’t we hold parents accountable. Not saying they should be charged as accessories but there should be some law around being accountable for your child until 18. If you neglect them we have a law about that so why not for allowing them to commit violent crimes.

I started Zoloft almost 2 months ago. It’s helped with my anxiety and depression but I’m worried I’m feeling the emotional numbing/blunting. I say this because 1) my car died and I did not care to call AAA until my bf insisted and 2) I have an interview for a job in 2 hrs I really want yet I cannot care to interview prep. Currently at 78k as C. Phone screened and told the recruiter I needed 95-100k. Interviewed and learned more about the role. Wouldn’t make the switch unless offer was 110-120k. Best way to approach?

I started a new job in May. I took a step down from Paralegal to Legal Asst. At my interview I was told that to them the title was interchangeable & I would be doing Paralegal work, especially considering that I knew how to do the heavy Paralegal work. But it’s been 6 months of tedious admin work & when I point out mistakes on pleadings, question case strategy or discovery methods, & suggest more effective ways to get things done, I get these weird looks or the brush off. What can I do?

How do we feel about wearing a watch in a tuxedo? I’ve seen plenty of men wearing watches in a tux, but have heard it’s improper. Specifics in this case: standard black tux and a SS DJ41 with blue dial.

Lately I have little tolerance for big meals. I try to do IF and would naturally do it because I wouldn’t feel very hungry until noon and have a big lunch and a big dinner. In the past few months, if I eat a big meal, I bloat up. My body asks for small meals every 2 hours or so. This is very awkward socially or at office when I can’t eat much but keep feeling hungry so frequently. Do you think something else is going on that I need to check on?

Can there be love if the partners physically abuse each other? I was shocked by a recent fight encounter of my friends. The girl and the guy were fighting and the girl first slapped him. Then the guy slapped her back. The guy was instantly guilty and started apologizing while the girl was crying. Eventually, they patched up and was cuddling in no time. Is this normal in most of the relationships or at least few? I am no one to judge their relationship but still shocked by the event.

Anyone else here an INFJ or ENFJ Myers Briggs type that absolutely hates the process of dating? It makes me feel so unlikable because I only want someone who can match my desire for intensity and emotional depth, but so few people actually can, and a good number will fake it for a few weeks before backing away.

My marriage is beyond repair I think. Husband just said we keep having the same conversations over and over in the past year about things we’ve been trying to fix. My close friend has been more stressed about things lately. In the last 1-2 years I notice her increasingly complain everything and act cranky and rude to me and other people (unintentionally) often.

Gf’s mom and brother flew in at the beginning of July from out of the country. She hadn’t seen her parents since pre-Covid.
