Need to lean in a lot more. Come up with a 30-60-90 day plan. Include by when will you need to know what. Run it by your manager, ask for feedback. Start off with asking for the usual org chart, process documents (if any), training resources, tools you must know by xx date etc. Schedule weekly 1-1 start with 1 at the beginning of the week, 1 to end the week.

Remember how tone can come across in every conversation. I've worked in Analytics for 7 years and transitioned to full time remote about a year ago. There was a major gap for me because I knew how to build relationships / communicate effectively because I knew the person and how they would react by working with them and being around in an office. On the other side, the person receiving my IMs or emails knew me better and responded more positively when I was being straightforward. Biggest tips: Build relationships: set-up 1:1's to get to know your team, do virtual "co-working", if you have an opportunity to meet-up with someone in person (after this is over..) do it for sure. Any chance you have to shadow or learn via video is helpful too. Cannot stress this enough: OVER COMMUNICATE. It's easy to put your head down and do the work but no one is physically seeing your time spent, and if they don't fully understand the level of effort they will struggle to appreciate it or recognize that you are actively working. This is particularly important for Analytics when working with other teams that have differing backgrounds. Use video as often as possible. It's annoying sure but calls are more productive and people get to know you better when they can see your response / etc. I would 100% go back and do every call for the first few months using video unless the other party requested otherwise.
