Tried on the Apollo 8 just last week (I’m the guy who purchased the FOIS in an earlier post). It’s a really cool piece with design elements showing off the movement both from the front and back but it was a bit too big for my wrist. Also $8800 was a bit out of the range I was wiling to shell out.
If you really think it’s worth it I’d go for it. But imo no Omega is worth more than 5-6k.
Honestly yes. I don’t feel like any Omega I’ve seen is worth that type of money. Special edition or not.
Not a fan of blacked out watches in general and this one is no exception. The regular Speedy is such a versatile and lovely piece, the all-black definitely reduces that versatility imho.
I also agree with A1, that I don’t see the value proposition purely based on the addition of some ceramic.
In the end however, if it speaks to you as much as to disregard a lot of excellent watches at that price point, well it’s your wrist.
