Hi fishes,I have around 5.2 yrs of hands on exp in data engg. and able to clear service based companies interviews easily. Now I want to switch to product based companies as I am looking for some good work, good salary but I am not really strong in dsa as it's not part of my daily work.I don't really use trees and graphs as part of my daily work.
How shall I switch to product based companies considering DSA is their 1st round itself.what level of DSA can I expect from companies for data engineer position?

There is flexibility sometimes, the issue is getting past the administrative people who do the first pass review. Do you have a connection at the office or division you are interested in?
Write a strong cover letter or look for someone working there that can pass your resume. There are always exceptions.
Second (or third) the advice to leverage a connection with someone who works in the relevant office (or at least within DOJ).
I worked as agency counsel at two federal agencies before starting biglaw. At both, there was ALWAYS room for exceptions, but the problem is that hundreds of people spam their resume to every single job listing on USA jobs with the word ‘attorney’ in it, which means there’s usually some sort of pre-review process where most of the resumes get weeded out, usually by non-lawyer HR folks with little familiarity with the actual position/work. They might junk a resume with 22 months of experience if the listing required 24, even though the person is qualified and the actual atty interviewers wouldn’t care one bit. If you know someone on the inside (doesn’t have to be some super close friend/reference either), you can generally bypass that part entirely.
