Yes, I am internal and love it! Took a pay cut, butt have so much flexibility. Travel maybe once every 2 months (and honestly love those days). Happy to answer any questions.
I was a traveling consultant in financial services. I would love to go back at some point, but am really enjoying my life now. This is my second internal role, I love being able to work on one team for a while and then transition into something new. First role took maybe 4 mo ths to find and current took about the same. Found both through networking.
When I came back from maternity leave, I took a rotational internal role (so was still officially a consultant) and then found my full time internal role from there. I was also very close to going back to client services after my second and even interviewed with the client I would work with. But actually giving up work from home and flexibility was more than I could handle.
Yep same here from PwC. Did a couple tours of duty with right of return before I finally decided to accept I wasn’t going back into client service. Turned my last tour into a full time position. Work from home 75% of the time, other 25% in office. No travel per my choice.
I did not get a pay cut as my group is not IFS. But it will be challenging to be promoted to director because I don’t have a client business case. In anyway the flexibility is more than worth it.
Do we have to take pay/bonus cuts for transfer to PwC Digital? Does anyone have experience with this team?
cont: because at some point I would like to go back the the travel (once kiddo is older maybe).
Following! I’m about to have my second and don’t want to travel for at least a year after coming back
