They reached out to me, too, and I'm only mom to some cats. ;). It was a sponsored email on LinkedIn which made me think it was a mass email, but I signed up anyway. They've sent me four possible matches--not ONE has had any relationship to art direction and the pay on all is super low. Probably not worth your time, especially if they won't take a phone call.
BTW I'm offended by the name of the company. Single women want flexible work arrangements too.
They're probably emailing all women. In retrospect I can't judge the jobs they sent me because they're nothing to do with what I do, but they seemed administrative. But yes I think that's their thing, women who want to work part time or be super flexible. When you sign up they ask how many hours you want to work.
@edelman I'm actually sorry to hear they're trying to expand like that. I freelance for another place that has all AEs on staff and bids out creative. Their pitch to companies is they shouldn't have to pay agencies for below the line work. So now creatives have lost those benefits-paying staff jobs. Flexibility sounds great until you realize what's really happening.
to the vest. I’m a little concerned that the posting that they tried to recruit me for is vastly undermarket too. When I asked the recruiter if I could speak to her on the phone about the role and the project she told me she could not. Anyone have any experience with this organization that they would like to share?
Thanks for sharing Freelance O&M. It makes me feel better they reached out to you too, I thought someone had sold my maternity leave data. I felt very violated but maybe this was sent out en masse.
In regards to lower pay I have mixed feelings. On one hand I’d be open to less pay for other non- monetary benefits. But there is no way I’m just going to accept a lower salary just because I am a mom. If there are benefits replacing a market salary they need to list them, because I’m not applying to an undermarket job. Ugh pay inequality.
I’m not a mom and have received targeted ads too! Know they’re making the rounds with corporations, too - my friend in HR at a major Corp based in chicago recently had several discussions with them. Sounds like they’re trying to marry client needs with resources who may be willing to sell themselves short on wages but high on flexibility?
@freelance totally agree! Here’s to hoping we are wrong about them but... 🤷🏻♀️
