Headhunter asked for a resumé.I got slow-tracked for 3 months on my promotion. Will I get questions on why I was slow-tracked? Should I avoid stating how long I held each position at current employer?

How common is it to accept a new job (internally at current employer) and to not receive a raise or promotion/title change until you “prove that you can do the job”? Personally I feel like I’m already doing the job and picked it up much quicker than if they hired externally, and probably would had to pay that external candidate more.

Something has been bothering me, but I feel guilty for thinking it. Basically I'm making about 20K more than my partner after I got a new job (annual salary before tax), because he decided to switch to software development later in life. He is about 31 now with a junior/intermediate developer position. I'm worried that he's too late in the game and will never catch up to his peers and even to me...I know I shouldn't think this way, but just can't help but worry im with someone who is too behind

Just a reminder that In 2021, some hiring managers care more about the skin color than Ability😔. Or what better explanation for this post?

Amazon recruiter reached out for a Sr. Customer Solutions Manager role. Anyone know what that entails? What does the day to day look like?

So I’m sure I’m going to word this question/thought/feeling incorrectly so bear with me...but I am a person who has so much passion and energy (not a millennial - so using the term loosely) for their company, however not my role. I’ve applied to several internal positions both above and even below my pay-grade but am always met with rejection and it’s causing my spirit to decline. Should I be taking this as a sign I am not valued at my organization?

I’m working on a cover letter for a company I’ve wanted to work with for many years. I’d like to explain my relationship to the company and my desire to work them for many years, but that puts me at 3 paragraphs (393 words). I’m considering a bolded opening section that says this: THE GIST: I’m a big fan of [COMPANY] and have wanted to work for the company many years. I believe I’d be a great fit for [ROLE]. THE DETAIL: [remaining cover letter] Good idea or unnecessary?

Looking for some tips. My 2 dogs play constantly when I'm home. But when I'm at work, it has been a struggle to get them to do anything other than sleep. I leave toys Kongs and interactive toys for them. But if I watch the security cam, they literally nap in their crates all day. I'm happy that they aren't destructive. And I try to exercise them when I get home. But the cattle dog isn't getting worn out enough during the day, and she wakes up at 4:30am. Any tips for getting them to play?

Hello Everyone, I'm at home since past one and half year , I have started getting angry on small small things, arguments. I loose control over what I say and sometimes I cross my limits as well, later regrets about what I said. It had never happened before this period of time. I am hurting people that I realise but in heat of the moment I do the damage. I feel I'm becoming mentally unstable. Is it common? What can be the reason? shall I consult a doctor? Any suggestions to deal with it.
