Looking for advice on how to be less of a ‘yes woman.’ I’ve gotten feedback that I should be less quick to say yes or should feel comfortable pushing back on unreasonable requests, but I’m struggling with doing that in practice.
Wondering if there are any resources (coaching, book recommendations…?) that you have found helpful to retrain your frame of mind to be less of a people pleaser and feel more confident being direct or saying no. Any suggestions welcome!

Anyone on here in organizational psychology consulting? I’ve been reading a lot of books in IO Psych. and would love to transition to that field. Currently in ERP consulting. If you could share how you got started and any advice for someone looking to go in that field (degrees/experiences/etc).

How do I deal with two senior/very important partners who have completely different ideas for strategy regarding a case? They keep telling me to do various tasks with different instructions, there’s no one “point” person for the client, and I feel like we look all over the place with our approach to different docs depending on who reviews and not like we have a united front. But maybe I’m not paid enough to be caring about this?
What are the best consulting firms operating out of London known for / working on sustainability and energy transition topics? Many thanks!
T2-MBB Lateral hires: is it really THAT different working in MBB than at your T2? Separately, would you do it again?
Hot take - quiet quitting wouldn't be a thing if Glint surveys didn't qualify low scores on 'discretionary efforts' as lack of engagement and a problem for companies to work on.
Many teachers in my county are resigning or retiring. We are being forced to go sit in empty classrooms when we’ve been working from home this entire year. Some have health concerns, others have children they aren’t comfortable bringing up to the building. Some have children that are also in online school, so easier to be home with them while working. I know not everyone agrees with some of us choosing to leave, but our county is one of the worst for Covid. We also just had to cancel 10,000 vaccinations because the truck didn’t show up.
We have a 3 yr old and a 4 month old and the 3YO constantly screams during the little one’s naps (sometimes it’s definitely on purpose) and wakes her up. The short naps spiral into a pattern of having to go to bed early and then wake up early the next day. The screaming and loud noises is getting so frustrating. Any tips on how to handle?
I have just been promoted to Product Manager from my APM program at a bank. My two projects have been one backend microservices orchestrator, which was honestly project management work, and now building a customer-facing service end to end, which we are still building. I have an interest in fintechs, crypto, and Web3; do you have any advice about what companies are interested in banking PM background with this experience? I am also interested in chatting about skills to build to jump.

Hot take: Griffith park kinda sucks. Like it's fine if you want to hike, but like golden gate and the presidio in SF are just far better, cause there's space to just like throw a frisbee and be a person, especially if you're mobility challenged.
EY might separate advisory practice from Audit.
Need some advice — looking to do VI peel precision plus sessions to clear my adult acne scarring as it’s really been affecting my self-confidence lately. Found a Medspa with great reviews that charges $350/session. My dermatologist will charge me $650/session. Is it better to just go to a derma despite the big price difference? Has anyone ever gone to a Medspa for this treatment? Open to other treatment suggestions that worked for you. TIA

Does anyone else sometimes see a dichotomy between achieving your potential and finding a partner? I feel like choosing someone in some ways clips my wings as I need to then consider them in my pursuits and I find the whole concept very overwhelming. Am I alone in this? Or just very selfish?
My spouse and I were planning on trying for our first (IUD officially removed!!) and a few months later I decided I also needed to change jobs. Ideally I wish I’d realized sooner - but now with two potential big changes on the horizon - should I stick it out in this job just to make it doable if I get pregnant? Or gamble on both huge life changes at once?
I know we all have fetishes and fantasies and I’m very sex positive. We all find celebrities attractive that aren’t our partners I get it. However, my partner is too open with me about them women he finds attractive and I would like him to keep it to himself. I communicated this with him a few times because it made me a little insecure. I’m not unattractive but social media has set unrealistic body standards that I don’t agree with. I have no doubt he loves me but now I feel like he’s projecting
For those who have had narcissistic SOs, how did you realize it at the time? How did you decipher that the issues are less about your shortcomings and more about his mental block? Can a narc change?

My parents live in one of the areas where there was just a mass shooting and my husband and I are visiting them for Thanksgiving. I’m terrified to go to public places now. I grew up here and used to go to the mall with my friends without a care. I feel like we are not even safe in our own homes anymore. I am trying to tap into my faith and stay present in these precious moments but it’s hard. Praying for all of you to have a safe and happy Thanksgiving, with gratitude for simply being alive.

Hello! Okay, so in the workplace when coworkers ask about holidays everyone always mentions their family - husband, wife, kids. I always feel so uncomfortable when they assume I have a boyfriend/husband when I have a female partner but I feel like correcting them or just saying my partner will get me judged. Do you think the workplace just isn’t too accepting of sexual orientation for always assume the gender roles or am I just completely overthinking this?

I struggle with confidence and my self esteem a lot. I feel like I’ve tried everything to work on it. Self help books, self care (working out, skin care and treating myself), affirmations. I’ve done it all and nothing seems to work. Is there anything you ladies do that works for you?
