Fellow female here. I do a 5 minute warm up then strength training at the gym. I have 4 different workout days a week (push, pull, legs, glutes), and I’m at the gym for a little over an hour each time I go. Each workout has ~6 exercises with 3 sets each ◡̈

How often do you want to be in the gym and for how long?

This is actually exactly what I do - two upper body days and two lower body days. Lower body days - I’d pick two quad focused movements (a squat and lunge variation) and two hamstring focused movements (deadlift and hip thrust/glute bridge variations) and do 3 sets of each exercise with 8-10 reps. Add smaller accessory movements (like glute kickbacks or the good girl/bad girl machines) as time and preferences allow.

For upper body days, pick one or two two back movements (lat pull down, rows, pull-ups, etc) one shoulder movement (lateral or front raises, shoulder press) one bicep/curl variation movement, one tricep movement (dips or presses) and one chest movement (barbell or dumbbell chest press, push-ups). Again do 3 sets of 6-10.

Make sure you stretch after and eat lots of protein to help recovery.

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. There seems to be this consensus that there will be a market correction in the next 6 months. Does anyone have experience where, when one thing goes “wrong”, and not even that it was wrong a mistake, but a complication, you feel overwhelming dread, stress and you shut down and can’t function? Getting emails from management and I can tell that I’m going to be put on a PIP or at least have it suggested.

I had a breakdown a few months ago and I tried to be super upfront with all of my management that I was really struggling mentally and I needed time for it and time to talk to my doctor about medication changes. I knew I wasn’t performing then and wanted to correct it.

I just found out that a new person at work that has been with us at the hospital for about 2 months max is making more than I am by quite a bit. This person has about 19 years of retail experience and can only work 2 shifts with us. I have about 7 years of of hospital experience all at the same place and I’m able to cover any shift in our pharmacy, super user for all of our systems, trained in our PN iv room, oncology iv room and our main iv room, also RIVA system admin. Wanted to share some positivity!

I gained 25 lbs throughout 2020 & 2021. In Jan 2022, had a goal to get back in shape.

Beginning in April, after a combo of fasting, intuitive eating, hitting the gym 4-5x/week, going thru a short cutting phase, weight training at 85-100% & slowly building back up to 5k steps daily, I lost 20 lbs in 6 months (end of Sept)!
