I love my job, have a great WLB (working 20 hours per week, no travel, clear path to M in about 1.5 years) - am I an idiot for even contemplating staying? Nexus security has not been staffed the last few times I've been there, so you just get jumped to the front of the regular line. Global entry line is a godsend, though staffing means a little slower than prepandemic. I have a small sample size, but where I used to arrive a relaxed 60-70 min before flight with time to grab quick food or drink, I now aim for 90-100, just in case.
T1 AC to US
Same. During peak travel hours, nexus is open but the lines are longer than I'm used to.
Immigration systems are also not as functional, so sometimes even global entry is slower than usual. I add the same buffer as P1.
Check FlyerTalk Canadian forums and CATSA website for more times and information.
Nexus (and priority are basically the same things nowadays unfortunately). Go earlier than usual as they are badly staffed and prepare to pull out liquids and such.
T1 will be better than T3 though. But depends on time of day.
Travelled last week during peek time though the security line. Probably took 15 min to clear it out.
Went to Dubai a few weeks back, wasn’t bad at all, however it was a night flight (10:55pm departure).
