Anyone have any insight on how the salary ranges work at Lockheed Martin?

On new job postings I often see rather large compensation ranges and I'm trying to figure a good rule of thumb as far as how that translates to actual compensation.

For example, say a job posting has a salary range is from 74k - 125k. What would you expect to be initially offered, and how flexible are negotiations within that scale?

Thank in advance!

90% of the time they offer you the midpoint of the range

like

Yeah I agree with a grad degree I’d say most people are getting around 100

like

Definitely use justifications and advocate for your desired salary. Worst case they'll say they can't raise it. You can easily raise it above the midpoint

like

Lockheed is super super variable. I would say expect the lower end and be surprised if it's the higher end. Also a discussion worth having with recruiters etc in the beginning I think

Great question. I think you have to have documented evidence to support why you should fall within a particular range

like

Depends on Job title

like

It'll be helpful if you have a document stating that you need to stay within a certain range.

When having career discussions (with a HM or your current boss), how has everyone handled job-titles that weren't "Product Manager" but you were performing the functions/role? Hi all, was hoping for clarity on offers from FANG/Tier 2 tech I received recently. Base pay is still within range of 130-150K, but equity components have dropped dramatically. For reference, for similar positions, I was receiving grants of 150K - 200K over 4 years for data analyst positions (4-5 YOE) in Aug’21-Feb’22. For personal reasons, I did not accept these offers. Now the equity grants are coming in like 50-70K over 4 years. Is this market wide for non SWE/PM roles due to stock market?

Is it a good idea to tell your manager intentions of leaving?

Recently had my review and it didn’t go how I expected. No raise, no promotion. I expressed disappointment but took the criticism I was given to reach my goal in 6 months or a year.

However, there are a number of issues that bother me enough where I want to move on.

The team I am on is small and I know that when I leave, they’ll have a lot on their hands. I only have a couple of interviews scheduled and nothing is solid yet.
