I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

I’m sure you’ve written emails in your life at work. There, internal comms.
What did you do @AD and @AMD1? Thoughts?

Sorry could you give more context? I’ve worked on internal comms strategies and campaigns for a variety of clients. What do you need to know?
I’m looking at an in-house internal comm opening, so maybe a bit different than your experience? I know it would be different than B2C, but don’t know too much about internal comm in general. Anyone have any pros/cons from experience (vs. an agency role)
Ah gotcha. I also have that experience. 😊 Pros: stability, an ability to really own your projects and success in a way that can be hard in an agency environment, a good testing ground for creative ideas (employees are just people after all; so I liked to think use alot of B2C tactics if the appetite was there). Cons: internal politics is crazy in/house, potentially feeling that you never complete anything, lack of creative resources, people who just want to do what's expected and nothing more...not feeling challenging or feeling like you aren't pushing your strategic or creative abilities...
Alot of it depends on the company of course. If they are the type of company that is doing inspiring things and the appetite is there to do interesting things. I think you can be very creative with internal comms but a lot of people aren't willing to put in the effort for something that won't be seen externally. But it's a crucial yet underappreciated aspect to strong companies.
Thank you! That was extremely helpful! It looks like there will be a decent amount of writing required, which I haven’t had to do professionally. The pay would be much, much better...
Oh yeah - that's definitely usually the case. I'm lucky my start was in journalism so it was an easy switch for me at the time. It can be good! Better quality of life for sure.
