Received a job offer at a consulting firm as a data analytics consultant for $20k more than I am making now. I am torn on taking the job offer because my manager told me I was getting promoted at the end of the year to a data analyst. I am not sure what the salary range for a data analyst is at my current job. Should I take the job or wait it out to see what my end of year raise would look like? I really like my job and team so leaving would be tough, but this raise is something to consider.
What is an average midpoint salary for a SM in EY’s consulting customer practice for the DFW area?
Outsourced IA /RA vs. Internal Audit - how’s the job differ? Why choose one path over another? WLB? I have 2 offers one at a consulting firm and one at a bank, just trying to understand the big differences as both seem like potentially good roles and comp is comparable. Also at the consulting firm I met a few people that left industry for consulting (which seems counterintuitive for me coming from external audit). Can someone help me understand why go back to consulting after industry?
Kind of embarrassed to ask this, but how does one ask for a sign on bonus? I’ve never asked for one but I always hear about them. At what stage do you ask and how do you phrase it? I’m usually really bad at talking about/negotiating pay and it’s something I’m trying to work on when I eventually switch firms.
Should I choose Deloitte Consulting Finance Transformation or Deloitte Consulting M&A Finance given they are similar comp and leveling? Would also have same cross sector opportunities.
How does everyone calculate their TC? Do you include bonus potential? Other guaranteed cash? Equity assuming full vest?
Fishes, How much base salary should I ask for Manager role at Publicis Sapient with 8 yrs of experience?
What are the salary levels in Big 4 consulting? From MBA stats, intro pay seems to be the same as MBB. But on FB, I’m seeing people say Manager level pay is lower than 1st year Consultant salary at MBB. Which is it?
Question for sisters from a brother: when married or if you’re already married, do you plan to contribute financially for big things like mortgage? I’d never ask my future wife to contribute but if she worked and made a good salary I’d appreciate a more equal approach when it comes to paying off our house. This is only for the peace of mind it would give us. Also wouldn’t make sense if my wife was in a time consuming high stress career but not contributing in the home or financially. Make sense?
Hello All, I have a techno managerial round at Deloitte USI for Azure Data Engineering. 1. What can I expect ? 2. I has a tech round earlier, how many rounds would be there overall ? 3. What can I expect in terms of salary ? YOE: 2.5
Anyone heard about d4 insight? I'm getting 100% hike + 1lakh joining bonus there. Is it worth leaving big 4 for this?
I just received an offer from Deloitte to come in at the Consultant level in their GPS sector. I feel I’m being compensated pretty well with a 105k base and 5k sign-on bonus (I posted a couple of hours ago and my 17 month old managed to delete it somehow). Anyways, I would love to hear some brutally honest opinions of what the work-life balance could possibly look like.
Dear recruiters - put your comp range in the email if you want a response. The Salesforce market is just so competitive that I’m sure just like all of you, I get dozens of inquiries a week. It just feels like a waste of everyone’s time if I don’t know what it is. Now that I’m actively looking it’s just hard to see where to start!
I am an SAP SD consultant with 5 years 3 months experience, working in IBM. My current CTC is 12.6 LPA fixed with variable. I received an offer of 25 LPA fixed+variable from Genpact. 3 lakhs joining bonus. Only issue is that it has been only 8 months with IBM and I need to return 1.5 lpa back to IBM. Is it worth joining Genpact?
Dumb question: how do you calculate the total comp of a tech company’s offer? I understand that you pro rate the RSUs but do you include future stock refreshers and first year cash joining bonus in the TC calculation?
What is the variable component in KGS? My recruiter told me it is 10 percent of the fixed comp, but it is not mentioned in the offer letter. Can someone please confirm on this
putting in two weeks notice soon and nervous they'll ask me to stay longer. can you negotiate extensions past two weeks to request additional compensation or would that totally burn the bridge
Can anyone suggest which company to join . Taking in consideration this compensation and also any lay offs history , any if ? - Persistent systems 14 LPA - Synechron 13 LPA - CGI 12.5 LPA + 1 LPA joining + some shares every month - Siemens 12.5 LPA + 1 LPA joining
Thinking of making the switch from big law to boutique corporate firm (currently interviewing at Egan Nelson, possibly others). Would love to hear from others who made the switch. Can work life balance really be that much better with a transactional practice? What’s a typical range for comp?
What is the salary range for a software engineer with 3 years of full-stack experience in NYC? I have a friend that just finished a Bootcamp and is getting paid $135K versus someone with the same experience as me getting $120k.

Hi Fishes, Got offer letter from LTI and there's something written like " Repurpose Bench" what does that means? I have asked for joining bonus and they agreed but it's not mentioned in the offer letter so I asked about it, HR said after joining you'll get it but it's not mentioned in written is it something to worry about?

Having grown up in the lower middle class and not with much money family wise, I always thought one day when I made six figures I would have tons of money coming in, but lately I am discouraged with my “take home pay”. Combined my wife and I make about $275k, we max both our 401k accounts out and after all taxes, and other deductions we take home roughly $150k. Don’t get me wrong this is a great amount. I just always dreamed my take home would be more. Anyone else feel this way? We lose over 40%
Hi Guys - I am looking for the job change. Can anyone please help me with referral? YOE - 7 Skill - Selenium QA automation/Tech lead role
Why or why wouldn’t you take an industry role should an opportunity present itself? Assume comparable or increased salary.
I’m a fourth-year associate who just got an offer to go in house. My experience is in litigation but I’d be working on more corporate matters, which scares me. But I hate billables and firm culture and the in-house company is a huge company where you can make moves in once you’re there. My salary would be the same but I’d get better benefits and bonus opportunities in house. Plus I’m a mom and will have on-site childcare. Should I be scared that switching from litigation will be boring?
Anyone here invest in whole life insurance? I just started working with a financial advisor and I'm questioning whether this is pretty commonplace for lawyers/ a good idea. Just want to hear if anyone has an opinion on it. Thanks!
I haven’t worked with a therapist before but know I’m totally burnt out and need some time off from work. Has anyone successfully started a relationship with a therapist and gotten their support to do an LOA shortly after starting with them? I’m worried because I don’t have a long standing relationship with a therapist, they’ll be resistant to supporting this. Would appreciate any advice
Got an incredible project and right before starting they told me I had to do a drug test. I am not 100% sure if Ill pass it and I am not sure I should risk it. Any advice? Risk it or say something?
I'm looking for an internship at a management consulting firm. I'm a grad student at Stevens Institute of Technology, majoring in Finance. I have about 2 years of experience working with business and marketing strategy. I'm just looking for opportunities to interview with firms. If anyone can help, I'd love to chat more
After applying to a job on a company's career website, Have you ever just went to LinkedIn and randomly picked a recruiter at the company and messaged them about the job you just applied to? Is that bad? I really wanna do it but very hesitant.
Facebook is anyone from Facebook open to helping me with a mock product interview? I would really appreciate it 🙏🏻
I got a 1 rating and a promotion from BTA to consultant, how much of a raise do you think I will get this year????
