Anyone have any recommendations for notetaking software, especially for things like client meetings/calls? I'm the kind of person who needs to write everything down or I'll forget, but notebooks don't really cut it and I have had trouble finding software that I really like.

Looking for practical advice on improving my attitude to work.

So imagine an imaginary scale where 0 is the worst piece of work a studio could produce and 10 is the best possible outcome.

As an animator working in an agency, I normally end up involved in projects towards the end, so by the time I get my hands on a project I can add between 1 and 3 depending on how much effort I put in.

If a project is a 3 when I get it, how do I summon the energy to make it a 6 that I could to make a 7 a 10?

Does anyone here work for any public accounting firms in the Charlotte area with a decent work life balance? I find it much less stressful to put in longer hours if it's a client that I have been scheduled on long term.

Why is it that designers are always expected to be creating content, honing a new skill, or working on some side project outside of work? You don’t see accountants coming home from work and thinking to themselves, “I sure would like to do some more math!”

I just changed my role to project management...I start to hate this when I'm doing the detailed plans. I have never been a detailed oriented person and it takes too much of my mental energy when working on very details. I guess I'm happy about the change I made but still need to find something I want to do in long run.

Have you ever over promised but underdelivered to a client?

Performance reviews are coming up and I over promised on improving/ automating a process for a client. I suffer from anxiety and this is my first engagement going on my 3rd full week with the client. The directors and partners managing the relationship with the client are meeting with the client to discuss my performance for our yearly performance review.

Background : working as front end consultant in India. Daily routine is opening laptop at 9AM and doing work till 10ish PM, if the project is tight (which it is in majority cases) closing laptop by 1 or 2 am. Travel depends on project. Sr Managers have no sense of personal space in most companies. Money is goood.
