Flying to Orlando for 2 days alone. Going to hit up Universal Studios and Island of Adventure with the limited express pass for one of the 2 days Any tips for food, etc.? Going to try to make it through without a rental car and only carrying a small day pack. Considering seeing some gator farms, etc., but trying to get an affordable experience given I've dropped 210 on the Universal ticket.

Holiday gift exchange at work (virtual, so we’ll be mailing things to people’s houses like a secret Santa). $20-30 suggested price range. I was thinking of sending a 45 miscellaneous assortment pack of little snacks, like a bag of cheez it’s, rice krispy treats, cookies, granola bar, nuts etc. Yay / nay?

Can you negotiate your time in the company? What I mean is say 401k vesting / matching happens in two year or vacation increases a week for someone with 3 years can I be credited with a year served in the system so that I can vest faster. I understand everything is in a system, so can they do a plus one to my count? I am doing this in case they come in at the low end of salary and can't raise salary. Trying to think of non monetary low monetary benefits to close gap
Any recommendations for a hotel in Puerto Rico, preferably close to San Juan? Planning a vacation in May.
Notice etiquete question. If you give your 2 weeks’ notice on a Monday, is your last day a Monday (2 weeks later) or can it be the previous Friday? Does your answer change depending on the time (morning/ afternoon) notice is given? If I don’t want to potentially burn any bridges, should I just have my notice period end on a Monday and just take that day out of my scheduled vacation before starting my next job? First time giving notice - would be interested in hearing what others have done.
Off course flight is delayed. Off course. Can I please travel one week without any delays or cancellations?
I hope to switch teams as a staff 1 after busy season. I also have all my vacation days for the year that I would like to use. Would you all be able to advise me the best way to efficiently switch ?
Planning to accept another job soon but have a scheduled 1 week vacation starting next week. When should I put in 2 weeks notice that I’m leaving? Is it a risk that they withdraw approval of my long-approved PTO? New job wants me to start ASAP so I’d feel bad delaying start dat over a month if the solution is to wait until after vacation to give 2weeks notice
Officially booked travel to home office location in over two months. Depressed. Been traveling to see family and don't want to go back 😓

Has anyone been in a situation (apartment / condo) where they had a shared wall with a smoking permitted-unit where there was a regular smoker - did anyone speak to your doctor / receive medical advice about whether the secondhand smoke exposure would be enough to potentially cause medical issues? In this case, there would be a shared wall but not a shared ventilation system - slightly concerned about the smell but mostly concerned about medical issues given the carcinogens in cig smoke

Junior associate in a big firm, slowly transitioning to a mid level role. In these slow times, wondering about client development. I know no one is expecting to bring in clients during this pandemic, but any general advice for how young associates can get an impressive and effective head start on business development that could actually lead to new clients? What do firms and clients actually care about (networking in and out of your firm, certifications, speaking engagements, etc)?

Currently pursuing a MBA, and am deciding which focus areas to take. I am trying to pivot from UX design to product in tech. Ideal sector: FinTech Current sector: Mobile Gaming Related sectors: Entertainment, Edutainment, e-Commerce, Social Aiming at head of product or head of design as long term goal. If only 2 focuses, would you pick Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Innovation, or Global Challenges in Business? Advice appreciated!
I’d love some help thinking through this. I’m currently renting for $1600 base ($1800 total) and live in the least desirable part of town, and expect it to raise to about $2k/month. I was planning to buy my first property in the city and Airbnb part of it, but it will take me about a year to save up the cash (~$500k starting). Eventual goal is to move more rural but trying to build to FI. I found a property in my ideal dream location for $280k but it needs work, and can’t Airbnb it. Continued
