Anyone have Christmas Eve traditions/memories you like for celebrating with your SO? This is the 1st year the 2 of us will be on our own (Christmas day will be w/ fam) and I'd like to make it special

Spilt a bottle of champagne. Go to mass. Dance next to the tree. Open presents. Eat oysters. (Do that in any order).

Go for an afternoon hike, make a fire, stay in and open presents, make something in the crock pot that would smell amazing coming back from your hike.

My husband and I have a crazy few days with our families so we actually celebrate on Christmas Eve-Eve. We pick a fancy or favorite place to eat dinner and then split a bottle of champagne and go to bed early. It’s just a wonderful solid moment to take a deep breath before the holiday crazy starts.

We watch a movie, open a nice bottle of wine and have a charcuterie board for dinner

I (36F) am married to another woman (34F) and we have a baby (5moF). We split all childcare, cleaning, meal prep, errands etc fairly evenly and it works well. Maybe she cooks more than I do bc she likes it, and I clean more bc I need to have a clean house. My friend (35F) recently took a business trip and literally put a binder together with instructions for her husband re: daycare drop off and pick up, what to feed the kids, when to take out the trash and so on. Asking for advice: Hi ladies, how do you tell your SO that you want private time with your friends/colleagues? For context, my SO and I have been living together for 2 years. He doesn’t have a lot of friends and is a quiet type. His current friends are all our mutual friends. We do enjoy spending time just us two a lot, especially during this pandemic. However, I do have a group of colleagues/friends that I’m close to and usually prefer to hang with them seperately. (cont. in comment)

Have any of you ladies managed to get over an ex after being hung up on them for years? My ex and I broke up two years ago but I still think about him every day. We live in different countries and he’s now married - I’ve tried multiple therapists, changing cities, traveling loads, throwing myself into work, dating, self help books, you name it. While the pain has become much more bearable, it’s never gone away. Will it ever?

Does it bother you when someone you care about won't let you treat them (like on special occasions such as birthdays and stuff)? I don't know why it's upsetting me so much, and I'm trying to figure out what the root of my issue is. I'm getting overly emotional about it. It makes me feel like I'm making it about me vs. them, which is not what I want to do at all. On the contrary, I want them to enjoy whatever I treat them to, but this is all backfiring because I can't control my emotions.

Ladies, take note: Corona pick up lines are here.

Is it generally unwise to switch companies within a year? I just relocated back to hometown and started a new job 6 months ago but I want to relocate again to Atlanta when my lease is up in 6 months. I don’t have much problem with my current role except wanting more money and to relocate. Unsure if it’s worth it to move and get more money or if it’ll be a bad look on my part. Any advice welcomed.
