Partner 🐠: How much “sourcing” do you have to do at your current company? I am asking because i enjoy responding to RFPs issued by potential clients or helping existing clients with new projects where they need help, but I don’t feel very comfortable trying to source new projects without leads, it feels very artificial much similar to cold calling, and being introverted does not help
Anyone have success transitioning out of the corporate world? Not sure if it’s the early week blues or if I hit an absolute wall today without even having much work to do.
Would love to hear success stories transferring to any other field
Travelers I'm looking to find out how much a level 1 underwriter should be making with 3 years experience in personal lines. I'm moving to a different area of personal lines namely facility Association but I feel like I'm being cheated. they are offering me 49k. I've felt under paid for some time now. I've done my research and I should be in 52k -57k range. Its frustrating because i want to stay where i am but i have had other companies reachout willing to pay me even more. Do you sometimes feel like you’re doing all of the conceptual work while your AD partner “just” adds some pictures? I recently feel like work load (especially intellectual) is not equal but don’t know how to adress or deal with this.

I’m interviewing for an AE role at Affirm. Any current employees in the sales org able to talk about company culture, goals, leadership, etc?
Hello all, so I currently am 24M working at tmobile. I just found out my store is closing at the end of this month. They're offering to transfer me but simply put I know for a fact I won't see as much traffic coming into the store so less potential for sales. I'm looking to find a good job to transition too. I do have my life and health insurance license but I didn't like what I did before. Any suggestions on good sales jobs or what to look into? I'd appreciate the help, thanks!
So I’m currently entering the 4th and final round of an interview process for a sales role.. The final round entails a sales pitch presentation where I present either a topic or product that I can confidently convey a persuasive message about.
The actual topic isn’t what’s important as it’s more about then actual skills show cased.. I’m currently struggling to decide on an easy topic that would suit well - between the topic and then any other words of advise I can use some tips for this !!
Sales people- what’s the longest you’ve been able to push out the start date of a new position you’ve been offered and how’d you do it? Curious since there tends to be a ton of urgency getting a new sales hire started. Especially helpful if you’re in tech sales but interested in hearing everyone’s experience.
Got to my final round of interview and it requires a mock sales pitch
looking for some guidance on how to execute this final phase - any tips? thanks in advance!
Just finished an interview for an AE role at a high-growth SaaS organization.
The interviewer told me that their quotas are very high - barely any of their sales reps hit quota YoY. They mentioned, “goals are high to push our reps. hence our YoY growth”
Is this a red flag?
I’ve been in inside/outside roles 7+ yrs in Real Estate & have led sales/development on large residential developments for luxury new construction & assist buyers, sellers, investors. Now both my kids are in school FT I don’t need flex hours & prefer not to work weekends. I’d like to be in AE role where I can build a career I’m proud of with more stability. But it seems like the only path to be an AE is through the SDR route. Any ideas on companies open to non SaaS work history in Chicagoland?
Hi! I’m looking to jump the ship from retail mgmt (4+ years of leadership experience) and have been informally offered a client services position at CBRE. Retail bonuses help keep me between 65k-68k, currently. The offer for the CS position was 65k, not guaranteeing bonus. Does this sound like the going rate? Any insight is appreciated. CBRE
POV: 2 and s half months into a new job: position internal sales support. Request of SM to find all potential customers in 2 main areas of sales and send them the information of companies name as well as contact name and sort the info from most important company to least, all from scratch.
The SM knows I am new to the industry and have no previous experience in it.
Is this something normal to ask to have done? Is it normal to give a few days to hand in the requested information?
Just got a verbal from Oracle for a manager position and should be getting the official offer by EOW. When I got the verbal today she said “I don’t know if we’ll be able to get there but we may be able to get you 100K base”.. I’m seeing on Glassdoor and Comparably that the base is at 110 - 125… how should I bring this up or push for a higher base if it’s “the closest they can get? Just trying to prepare ahead of time so I know how to respond, I’m new to negotiating! Any help would be amazing!
