Anyone have experience with Disney? Specifically which teams focus on Corp strat or Corp dev? Looking at some junior roles and wouldn’t mind starting lower on the scale if it’s a prestigious group. 1 yoe t2 firm

I know they pay pretty horribly, but that’s all I know

Just took a job with Disney, starting later this summer. Significant pay drop. Usually down-title you too. But if you want to do media/entertainment, it’s the blue chip company to have on your resume. Also very highly respected Corp group

I have a potential opportunity as a Pre-Sales Engineer ... would be heavy SQL (I’m proficient but have a lot of learning to do) and the pay is solid. Would having deep expertise in SQL/Data Analytics be a good long term decision? I’m just thinking about career growth and exit opportunities.

Made the SPG Platinum Challenge last week. I'm so happy with it that I am a bit ashamed of the person I have become.

Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)

Anyone from SF/SJ BA? I’m considering purchasing a house about halfway between Santa Cruz and San Jose on Rt 17. I see a lot of stories on how dangerous the road is. Anyone have experience commuting?

Please critique my annual budget. Family of four in the Bay Area. HHI: 850k Income tax: 300k Daycare: 50k Housing: 45k (mortgage + property tax + insurance) Grocery / restaurants: 20k Charity: 15k Random Amazon spending: 10k Car + gas + insurance: 10k Medical: 5k House cleaner / landscaper: 5k Utilities: 3k Retirement savings: 135k (maxing out everything) Remaining for taxable savings: 250k Don’t do enough travel but that is largely due to COVID. Saving 45% of gross is probably too much?

made a mistake, left my job for another and it didn’t pan out. took the first offer that came my way to make ends meet but after a week i know i will hate this place bc of the expected time commitments (24/7 on call, 15 min response to every email) i need mental and career advice, i feel like im spiraling over my career future, i don’t know how i will ever be able to apply anywhere with a crazy resume now. id love to take time off but can’t afford

Hi ladies! I have a Skype interview next week and I don't interview well on Skype. Suggestions about what to wear, any other tricks that might work in my favor? Thank you!

What is with people at EVP level who use efficiency as an excuse to be curt and unkind? Bonus points if you can explain why they’d humiliate coworkers in front of the client.

I moved to Canada aft not winning H1B. I recruited w some firms and went through final round. They said that they can sponsor me a visa, but i am not sure how they will take me. Is H1B the only option? If so, i am afraid that they wont be willing to wait till next year to hire me..

$170k base, 80-100% bonus and carry across all funds for PE portfolio operations. Reasonable or out of market?

How many of y'all pay for united lounge access or have the card? I fee that $450 is a bit much

Am I alone with getting sick of colleagues over using “we"? If I do all the work on something and someone says “did we get that done”, I cringe... because NO, I GOT IT DONE, not “we”.

Baby's first trip to the dog park thus weekend! First time I've ever seen this puppy tuckered out.

What is it like in industry if your role is SEC and SOX? Is that a good path or is it a dead end with Big 4 like hours?
