I am finishing up a project and I’m trying to document what I’ve done for my resume. What are some good metrics for someone who mainly created user stories, created dashboards, interacted with the client and developed statistical models? One of my dashboards got deployed to production but it’s to early to see the impact. My other dashboards are almost done but I’m moving on to something else.

What exactly does BigLaw Litigation consist of? I’m assuming not PI/Med Mal/Etc.? Have always wondered how far this area reaches.

Has anyone worked for a CA firm while living in CA, then continue to work for that firm remote? I am inquiring re: the tax implications and if CA will still try/be able to collect taxes even when my address, etc. changes. Thanks!

What exactly is your supervising attorney's role in a project together? As a first year, I kinda feel terrible when I draft something and they revise it significantly. I feel like my goal is to make their life easier (so they don't have to spend a lot of time revising). But biglaw sucks because no one clearly sets expectations.

How do people make friends here? I have the ones i grew up with and a couple I made in the last couple of years (neighbors/through mutual friends) but I generally find that people here just stick with their social circles

What books, articles, blogs, orgs, events, people I should follow for inspiration that has helped you? I have some cash to invest and am looking for a part time hustle that can cash flow at least a little bit of money on the side.

Anyone else struggle to enter time daily? If you’ve overcome this hurdle, how did you do it? I keep a notebook for my time and then send it off to a secretary to enter but I still miss so much of it that I always have to go back through my emails.

So today an AD offered me the whopping selection of a brown (?) two tone Datejust, a two tone Explorer I, and a two tone blue Sub. Are these flippable? I’d guess they’ll immediately lose some value.

Brand new to the bowl. Looking at getting my fiancé his first nicer watch as wedding gift when we get married next year. I’m trying to stick around $7k, but would go to $10k. Is it worth getting him something now or wait until I’m willing to spend more? I know absolutely nothing about watches. Recommendations?

Any Grand Seiko aficionados out there? Had always heard a lot about the finishing on GS watches - stopped by the boutique in Boston and was pretty darn impressed by the polish and glint on the dial - and then even more impressed by the zaratsu technique. How does that flash hold up over time?
