OP - thanks for clarifying. EZ - You start as an associate (no real way to join at a higher level) and are apprenticed in how to do the job. They have a very high success rate after the first year (ie - survive the first year and in 4-6 years you will probably make partner). The downside is that you have to restart as associate. RRA will bring you in at a higher level (and higher pay), but you will have to learn how to do the job a bit more yourself. Both have good cultures, and good people.
What sort of experience? Working for? Or using? They are both good firms - very different setups though. These are two of the Top Tier head hunters - part of them 'shrek' group (spencer stuart, Hendrick and struggles, Russell's, Egon, Korn Ferry)
friend works at RR (ex-MBB) and loves it
I have 2 friends at egon but not been in touch with them
ATK1, looking for the "working for" perspective. They all seem to be loaded with ex-industry executives and seasoned mgmt consultants. They want to over index on ex-consultants as their clients expect them to be more holistic talent advisors and are interested in human capital strategy mandates similar to what traditional mgmt consulting firms do. Peaked my interest but need to learn more. Any insights would be extremely appreciated. Seems like a closely guarded industry at that level and not much information out there.
*piqued your interest 😉
Thanks D1 🙃
Think it's spelled Egon Spengler
R all these board consulting firms?
Thanks ATK1.
