Hi y’all! I’m looking to move to Canada from the US. I currently am in tech advisory with EY and would love to chat with someone for potential referrals if possible. Happy to DM. Thank you!
Salt & pepper swooped over hair, chunky rectangular framed glasses, white pima cotton button-down shirt (2 buttons undone), crisp tapered jeans, tan loafers, Shinola anything, occasional wedding ring.
I have offer from ABN amro Netherlands of 75k euros as annual salary and its a contract for period of 1 year from third party. Offer letter mentions that I can be full time after a year on the basis of performance. Currently I am working in Microsoft. Please suggest whether I should proceed or not.
Anybody can tell me their experience being in a Business Processing Risk role? Currently an IT Risk consultant and feel like IT is not my cup of tea (which is probably why I’m an accountant by nature)
Any recs for an excellent mortgage broker at Citi? I have a preapproval letter from wells fargo but citi will give me a better rate due to relationship pricing. I was recommended a mortgage broker at citi and he's the sweetest guy but i'm not sure if he can get the job done, for various reasons.
Kids wanna network with me about consulting... Do I be honest and tell them how I really feel... Last chat I told him how I really feel
Can anyone share the interview process for a Senior Associate position? I have a panel interview with two team members but I’m not sure if it’ll be case/behavioral. Already did my recruiter screening.
Any good books for someone trying to understand the business side of marketing? Just got my review an they're asking I bring more of that MBA mindset to projects I'm on.
I’m looking for recommendations for a bench top bandsaw. I’m willing to invest in a nicer one down the line, but right now I want to keep it under $300. I mostly see Powertec, Shop Fox, or Wen. There is a $375 Grizzly I’d consider if it’s way better than the others. Any thoughts?
Considering offer as assistant controller at a small HF shop. Currently audit A2, will be promoted to S1 this Summer, and in HCOL market. No CPA. Haven't gotten the details yet, but recruiter sent me for 95-100 base, expecting ~20% annual bonus, full medical dental, free lunch and gym FWIW. Is this low? Is it worth sticking around 1 more year as senior for potentially better? The position has a lot of growth potential, as the shop is quickly expanding. What other factors do I consider?
Need $10K to tide me over this summer before I re-join my firm following my MBA. Where would you recommend getting a loan? I’d plan to pay back within a month of re-starting, so I’d just be paying interest for three months.
How much fixed/JB can I expect from pwc? YOE 2.6 What perks do you get upon joining? Is health insurance available for both self & parents? Is insurance premium part of salary or added? Another Offer in hand : 10.3CTC + 2.5JB
Anyone know the average salary for UK based senior consultant and manager at EY-Parthenon?
Finally, now that WFH is more accepted (thanks 2020), do you think more industries will “reimagine” this arbitrary 40+ hr. work week? Some orgs tried/have proven to be more productive with less (e.g. 6hr work days, 4 day work weeks) but I don’t know if consulting leaders are enthusiastic about normalizing this since “it’s the land of billable hours”... What would it take?
For anyone who has implemented some form of leave for miscarriage during pregnancy, have you had to navigate the debate of how much time to grant a colleague who loses a baby, versus a colleague who loses a spouse (i.e how your pregnancy loss policy stacks up against compassionate leave)? Keen to know how senior leaders respond to the movement for granting sometime 2 or more weeks off for losing a baby, where their standard compassionate leave may be e.g 1 week. Thanks!
