Anyone have experience working for tech start ups? I have an offer on the table (20% bump and RSU’s) for one who specializes in cyber threat detection. I’ve been with large consulting firms my entire career, and so I’m a bit fearful of the unknown when it comes to start ups. They’ve been doing really well the past 4 years, but again, I know that they could go belly up in an instant or a larger firm could replicate their business.

Everything is harder for an Indian immigrant. It was a battle to get picked in the H1-B visa “lottery”. I haven’t seen my family in 3 years because I can’t find a visa stamping appointment at the US consulate in India. Flight tickets to go to India in the month of December is $5000.
