I interviewed for Commercial Card Sales at Capital One years ago when they were just building out that team…seemed like an amazing culture

I’ve heard amazing things too, their employee reviews are out of the roof!

CapOne overall is really really good What role are you interviewing for?

I have too! Commercial card sales rep working with mid-level size businesses. I would be pitching moving their bills over that could be paid off by a credit card, having capital one handle the payments and the business will receive 2% back.

I currently work at Melio, we are partnered with CapOne to push users to use their business CC to maximize points. It can be a tough sell, but you have to do a good job of discovery and finding pain points to really leverage the current economy to show bizzes that this makes sense. CapOne is an amazing company to work for!

Completely understandable, thanks for your insight! So helpful.

No does anyone have info on EverQuote

Sounds like a tough sale to me.

Any downside to leasing to a corporate company? I have never done it before but they said they would handle any turnover needs like cleaning. It seems like they are the middle company for providing short term leases for business needs.

I’m in TAS and I have 1 YOE with my current company and 2 YOE in RPO. I’m only making about 48k. I feel this is really underpaid! I’m in Columbus, OH

Legit question: now that 90% of you all don’t have an expense account or travel, why are you doing consulting? Wlb and pay are shit, professional dev opps are good but can be developed in 2-3 years - so why not leave after

I can’t tell if August is the most exciting or most depressing time...yes we’re getting promotions and raises...oh wow 3% bump what the shit...time to jump off a cliff

I’ve had a fair amount of success in a couple of direct sales ventures, but I’ve ultimately never risen to the top because I’m not a great teambuilder. I’m trying to figure out how to pivot my career & make something from the skills I learned there, but I’m not really sure what that would look like because I never saw myself getting into sales in the first place. Where should I go from here? What is the pay structure typically like in entry-level sales jobs?

Does your job email a bunch of hoorah emails congratulating reps on sales? It just becomes a bit annoying and demotivating especially when it’s the same person at times.

Anyone know who runs ADP’s background check? Also any Outside Sales folks for them? How do you like it?

Pretty cheesed my colleague “took” my account

I’m on the sales side, was working a pretty big acc, pitched them, talked to the literal owner of the chain

After following up with him, his secretary very sternly said “if he’s interested he’ll reach out 😡” so I said damn okay, I’ll try again next month I guess

Fast forward to a few days ago, and my colleague literally sends *one* email…. ONE….and he goes “sign me up!” So she got the account

She was fully within rules of engagement

What are some games I can play with my team? We are spread out all over the US, would love to get my gang together virtually for happy hour and games. Any suggestions?

Help me with a situation. I am in ad sales now with $140K OTE, but my ultimate goal is to be in enterprise software sales. My plan was to take the next level up of my current role, with a $220K OTE, to get the large enterprise experience vs the small enterprise types I work with now.

Today, I was offered a $215K OTE MidMarket role at current company but I'm having doubts it's the right move. It feels a step back in business size experience, and doesn't get me any closer to end goal. Thoughts?

I am thinking about taking a job at a cybersecurity company as an SDR. I am switching from real estate to tech sales. I know SDR is entry level and I am a little hesitant to take the position because I am almost 30. I am wondering if anyone else has taken the role mid-career and how it went for you? Was it worth working through to get into higher levels of a tech company?

Should we start a forum to discuss customers that have horrible procurement directors? I feel like we should be able to warn fellow sales professionals of traps, tricks, and just overall waste of time.

Curious how some of you got into the SAAS sales world? Looking to continue to advance in the sales community.

I’m currently an SDR & I am meeting my AE’s this week for the first time, any tips on how to build a good relationship with them?

Hey everyone!
Just wrapped a round 1 Account Manager interview with T-Mobile

Does anyone have experience with T-Mobile, share any insight, pros/cons, etc?
More specifically the role is managing Government Contracts.

I had an interviewer show up late to an interview and then apologize and say that he’s handling an emergency situation. So, I’m relatively flexible and I say that I’m totally fine rescheduling and he says he’d rather just do the interview. He didn’t have his camera on, he’s in the car driving and talking to me. At the end he gives me his objections and I counter them and then he gives me “an assignment”. To write him an email marketing the company. These are all red flags right?

I am in dallas and looking for a new job. I currently work 70 hours a week and want to spend more time with my family. Looking for 150k sal or more, weekends off, decent benefits. I have a good resume, but no idea what I’d like to do. Anyone have ideas?

MongoDB or Databricks? Guys know if OTE, Quota and culture are similar?

I’m 21 and been in sales for about 3 years total. I’m on pace to make just under $300,000 this year. Is that around what I should be expecting or should I be speaking with the executives for more?

Yall ever see a coworker work a deal and think, "dang I need to up my skills"? I did and now I have work to do.

Is this a good offer for SaaS Sales Engineer in SoCal? 3 years SE experience, 9 years industry experience. 210K OTE (80/20 split), 165K Base, 130K RSU (split over 4 years) = Total TC 242K
