Has anyone been fired? How’d you bounce back? How did you approach it when applying for new jobs? I’m legitimately worried I’ll be fired and could use some advice.

Going from contract to full time (was temp to perm position) in a few months and don’t know what to ask for in a pay increase, and can’t find anything on here or Glassdoor about salaries at my company within my dept. currently at ~62k with 1 YOE, graduated May ‘21 with a B.S.
Currently an L4 in a non-tech role at Google with TC: ~220K . Projected to make the jump to L5 soon.
Recently received an offer for a Senior Manager role at B4, with a TC: ~200K
ToE: ~4 years
Thoughts on the offer? Does it make sense to make the jump to B4 for a better title/ more senior role?
Currently making 110k as an associate, what could be expectation for EY senior consultant cyber sec role ? (+5 years exp)
Hi everyone! I am a recent electrical engineering grad looking for full time employment. I am open to various disciplines of engineering since I want to get my masters and want to find what I really enjoy. I’ve been having a hard time with finding entry level roles. Is there anything I need to do to my resume? Any companies hiring entry level engineers?
Guys, I am actively looking for a role in Analytics/Data science/Product Management. I have had 2.5 yrs of experience in Analytics. I can join in a month of time post the offer. I do not have project management experience but find the domain pretty interesting and have also attended an extensive interview at a FAANG org for a similar role (the result of which I'm awaiting), so would like to interview for those roles as well.
Would appreciate to see any leads from here.
Planning to ask an alum to put in a referral at Google. Do I apply on the website first and then have him do something in the system or is it the other way around?
I’ve been in an in-house role since the beginning of the year and just gave 2 weeks’ notice to leave for a much better paying and better titled position. The response has been very petty, to the point that I’ve been called unprofessional even after I asked the hiring attorney whether I could give longer notice at the current company’s request. Is this normal?
I’ve been getting a lot of emails and now LinkedIn messages from M7 schools about applying to their programs. That doesn’t mean I actually have a good chance of getting in right? Need to check my ego lol

So I was laid off back in mid April after 5 short months with a job that I absolutely loved. I’m applying to mid-senior level jobs and being told that I’m overqualified and should apply for VP level jobs. When I apply to VP level jobs I’m told those are hired internally. So, do I just lie on the resume to dumb it down?! Also- should I list the layoff in the resume and then in the ATS they have so it doesn’t look like I wasn’t just quitting after 5 months? I have it in my cover letter but is it
Can anyone share the mapping of levels to Proserve? I am a Senior Manager at Deloitte and recruiter just called me for a senior advisory consultant role but that feels like 2 levels back at least from a Deloitte perspective.
Received an offer from MNTN for a mid level remote position. Looking to chat with some people to discuss the offer.
Received an offer from a top 15 firm to join their TAS practice, but have a rotation opportunity at B4. I know B4 typically looks better, but is there really that big of a difference in potential exit ops? Trying to decide which route to take.
To those that have used applicant lab to craft their essays - how useful was the brainstorming section and how long did the whole process take? I'm worried that I'm spending too much time ahead of jumping into essays but should I just trust the process? I'm applying for R2 fyi.

Has anyone gone through the egg freezing process or interested in going through this together?
So, I got the job - a formal written offer was made today @ $10k under the company’s “target” base pay. I have been told that the offer that has been made is the best and highest available based on my experience (ideally company would have wanted a few more years).
It really sounds like there’s no room for negotiation but I want to try - do I say that I need $5k-$10k more otherwise I will be unable to accept or do I just accept the very generous offer on the table?
Is it normal for me to essentially be running a pretty large and complex case as a 2nd year associate in biglaw? There are 2 partners who obviously provide some level of guidance and strategy and sign off, but I feel like everyone would benefit from there being a senior associate or counsel to align and prioritize tasks for their review. They’ve said I’m doing a good job but I’m starting to feel overwhelmed with the responsibility and lack of direction. Is this something I can bring up to them?
What platform do you guys suggest for option selling? I have been doing extensive research and clearly exhibits by passing the exam but TDA is being a b1+ch and not approving me. Robinhood is a$$ because every time i submit an iron Condor it never gets filled because the system always lags and you cannot do market price like how you can on thinkorswim/TDA.
I’m a data engineer/engineering manager by trade and massively screwed up by going into MBB consulting, I absolutely despise it and am looking to leave about 8 months in. I have a great offer from a fortune 50 for product management in tech at a similar salary, way more RSU’s but can’t shake off the thought that I wouldn’t be an engineer anymore. Any advice from you guys to help get past my anxiety and just pull the trigger?

Ex-Accenture (doing internal PM analyst work, laid off due to COVID but great relationships there/eligible for rehire), have two offers - just started as market research analyst in the marketing team in pharma biz market access or a new offer as a PM at data SaaS. Hi all, I have an offer to move from MBB Dubai to a well branded Big Tech in a biz ops role in London. Key considerations:

+ specialize in a field I am passionate about
+ move to London
- 50% net pay cut
- limited predictability on career progression vs consulting
- role is one seniority level below the one I can get (I was told by the hiring manager)
