Can we get work permit to Canada without job ?
Me. It is the best gap. Where the first doesn’t feel the jealousy and by the time they get older they are used to the other sibling being around. Don’t worry about the leave. I used to panic but you shouldn’t have to pick between a career and family. You can have both
🙋♀️ The baby is 4 months now. The first 2 months were rough but once we got to ~10 weeks and got more of a schedule, things got A LOT easier. I found out almost exactly a year ago and I was terrified and I had a hard time getting excited at first. However now I can’t imagine anything different and I can already see the two boys being best buddies!
My husband and I want to do pretty close together but with breastfeeding I haven’t gotten my period back. Did those of you with kids 18 months apart get pregnant again while breastfeeding?
Having them so close also is awesome in terms of forcing the routine is easier. Everyone sleeps and naps together etc.
I had to get fertility treatments and the unknown of how long it would take is what caused ours to be so close in age. However I have several friends who have "Irish twins”, despite breastfeeding
Sure. What finally worked for me was fermera. I would take that for 5 days and then was monitored every other day through blood work and ultrasounds. Once the follicle grew to the desired growth, I would then trigger with a medicine called ovidrel. The cycles can be long and the constant monitoring takes a toll on you. Giving blood has become painful. The side effects are eh. I don’t sleep well, moody, some weight gain but anyways for the those tiny humans
The above method is “timed intercourse”. It took me +2 years for my first. 1st cycle for my second. If the last cycle for my first didn’t work, they were going to think about IUI/IVF
My older daughter and my twins are 16 months apart. It was painful the first year, as one of the twins had some issues, but 7 years on its fantastic
C1, about a month after weaning completely
Mine our 20 mo apart. The youngest is almost a year now, honestly it’s been tough. My older one is a just a very strong willed and emotional at times so I think his personality is a huge reason it has been so challenging.
Just had my 2nd ten days ago and my first is 18.5 months. I am out on mat leave almost a year to the date that I came back from the first. So... my initial thoughts are - it takes some juggling. We haven’t yet been able to get on a routine. And the toddler really requires a lot of attention once baby arrives. My toddler was not clingy at all, no real separation anxiety and pretty social. Once baby came, wants to be held all the time.
My husband is also consulting but took two weeks pat leave so here helping for now. I don’t know how to manage when it’ll just be me.
That said, when toddler gives baby a kiss - heart melts
And worried how it will go over at work.... Only been back from maternity leave 4 months...
No... I didn't get my cycle back until I completely weaned even though I had been supplementing with formula for months.
D1 would you mind sharing more about your fertility treatments? What type and did you get it for both pregnancies?
How long after weaning did you get your period back
I didn’t have to wean completely but he was starting to wind down/drink whole milk with occasional nursing. Got pregnant 2x later 🙈
